The summer season has begun again at the
Festival and for the most part reviews have
been good. At present the Festival Theatre is
tl,,' only one of the three Stratford stages that
is in action but before the month is out The
The Imaginary Invalid.
Avon will begin its season and'on July 10, the
Third Stage will begin activity.
IMAGINARY INVALID: The play made a
name for itself in the recent tour of Australia
and has won warm reviews at home too.

LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST: The Festival's
perenial female star, Pat Galloway stars with
William Hutt, Nicholas Pennell, and Dawn
Greenlaugh in one of Shakespeare's early
comedies that has come into its own in this
century after languishing almost unknown for
many years. It is directed by Michael
Bawtree. June 13, 15, 17, 19, (afternoon), 21,
24, 26, 29, July 3 (afternoon), 4, 6, 10
(afternoon), 12.
PERICLES: A major hit last year, Pericles has
been brought back for a second season. The
seldom stage play, one of Shakespeare's last,
tells of a Greek Prince and a series of fairytale
adventures. Nicholos Pennell, Edward
Atienza,,Amelia Hall and Pamela Brooks star.

LA VIE PARISIENNE: Opening June 27 at
the Avon, this English language version of
Offenbach's salute 'to gay Paris. Douglas
Campbell and Jack Creley star in this
combination of music, song and farce. June
7 through Sept. 1.
URON COUNTRY PLAYHOUSE: James
urphy opens his third season at Grand Bend
with the Huron Country Playhouse. For those
who remember the early days of the Stratford
Festival when the tent was used, it might
bring back some memories to visit this
theatre that is still housed in a tent. It's off
highway 81 just east of Grand Bend.
DO, I DO: A musical comedy by harvey
Schmidt and Tom J ones, the two men who
created the fantastic Fantasticks, it stars
Peter J . McConnell and Patty Gail and opens
