"Recommended by others to others". This month We welcome more readers this month. For the first time Village Squire will be entering homes in the Sea - forth and Brussels area. We hope you will enjoy the magazine. If you are reading the magazine for the first time and would like to subscribe you may do so by filling out the enclosed form on page 23. Incidently, call it inflation if you will but the subscription rate has gone up to $1.00 per year. So many people were send- ing money through the mail for subscriptions and 75 cents is an awkard amount for mailing so we rounded it off. The annual Colborne Township Christmas Country Fair is just around the corner and you'll find details on page 8. Antiques are big business these days with the value of old furniture and such increasing by about 10 per cent per year. But nowhere is it bigger business than at Harrison's Stone House Antiques, between Clinton and Seaforth on Highway 8. The story appears on page 7. A beautiful old theatre stood in danger of desttuction at many times during the past year in Blyth. The story of the building which would snake a modern "Perils of Pauline" thriller is on page 13. Our What's Going On feature is not included in this month's issue because we did not receive enough inform- ation of activities in the area. If you know of up- coming activities of interest to our readers please let us know. Follow up Last month we featured an article on the fun of the local fairs. It isn't too late to catch some of those fairs. Check your local paper for the dates of those nearest you.
