WHAT'S UP DOC? A comedy starring
Barbra Streisand and Ryan O'Neal
is teamed with John Wayne in Chisum
in one of the better double bills up
coming at the drive-ins at Brownies
in Clinton on June 27-30.
THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE: One
of the most popular movies of the year
about a shipping disaster will run a
full week at Brownies from July 12 to
July 18.
THEATRE:
HURON COUNTRY PLAYHOUSE:
UNDER THE YUM-YUM TREE, starts
off the second season for Huron County's
only professional playhouse near Grand
Bend on July 11. The show, Lawrence
Roman's play which has been turned
into a hit movie and performed over
the world, will play until July 15.
BUS STOP, is the second production
from July 18 to 22. The late play -
write, William Inge had one of his
greatest successes with this show.

AVON THEATRE:
A MONTH IN THE COUNTRY, opera
at the Avon on June 29. It's a delicate
comedy in the Russian Tradition. A
young man is loved by two women, one
married, the other no more than a girl.
The result is upheaval in the usually
placid life of a family of 19th century
gentry.
THE MARRIAGE BROKERS, is a lovely
farce by the author of the Government
Inspector. An amateur matchmaker
finds out that getting people married
is a job best left to the experts. The
play opens August 3.
THE THIRD STAGE:
Billy the Kid opens at the Third Stage
on July 10. It won the Governor
General's award in 1971 for Michale
Ondaatje who has adapted the play
for Stratford's third stage.
