The Ashfield Presbyterian Church held
its annula Christmas • Eve Service on
Wednesday evening, December 24.
The Pine River United Church also held ,
a Christmas Eve .service on December 24.
On Sunday, December 14, family
gathered at the home of Warren and June
Wylds to have their early Christmas •get-
together. •
Kenneth Wilkins of Ridgetown and
Elizabeth Wilkins of Mount Forest were
home on the weekend with their parents,
Charles and Mayme Wilkins. their Sunday
visitors were Barbara. Wilkins and Ernie
and Jean Miller of Paris, Ontario.
Eunice -Lawrenceof Kincardine called,
recently at the homes of Elmer and Edna
Culbert and Charles and Mayme Wilkins.
Glen Robb was up to his sisters and
brother -in-laws, .Edwin and Janice Mc-
Clutcheon at Lions Head on Thursday.
,Bob and Sandra Darling and family of
Hanover were weekend guests of Mr. and
-Mrs. Gordon Robb.
Barry and Betty Jones went to St. Marys
on Friday to bring Barry's mother Ger-
trude Jones 'home with them until after
Christmas.

Ted and Betty Bowers spent Christmas
with theme daughter Mary Stark An
Stratford.
Jim and Ruth McKenzie, Mary Ellen,
Gregory and Keith visited on Christmas
Day. with Ruth parent's Mr. and Mrs.
Oraen Rock in 'Ripley.
Company over Christmas with Claude
and Sandy Daoust, Cherianne and Amy
were Claude's sister Claudette and bus -
band Gary Selles and son Brent of
Sudbury.
John and Kathy Stanbury and son Jason
of Birr, Glenda Park and her fiance Marc
Panzavecchia of London visited over the
tolidays with John and Marina Park and
Wayne. On Christmas Day, they all en-
joyed the day in Kincardine with Ken and
Marie Petrie and family.
Company on Christmas Day with Bob
and Brenda Woods, Robbie, Shawn and
.Angie were Art and Isabel Young, Gord
and Mary Schultz, John and Bonnie Gibb-
ings Michael and Ashley of Clinton and
Kervin and Debbie Rourke of Goderich.
Boxing day guests with Cliff and Peg
Purdon were daughter Marlene and Bob
Derbecker, Duane, Alan and Mark of
Woodstock, Miss Laurie Plancke of
Guelph, on Reg and Ginny Purdon, Carrie
.and Dave of Kitchener, son Ron and Anita,
Stacey and Danny of Brucefield. Their
daughter and son-in-law, Monna and
Chuck Kerr and family of Oshawa, are
holidaying in Florida.
Evelyn Errington of Lucknow visited on
Christmas day with son George and Jean
and grandson Bill. Also home from London
for the holidays was daughter Betty.
Rob and Sandy MeWhinney, Robbie and
Tara of Kincardine enjoyed Boxing day
with Hugh and Willetta McWhinney before
leaving for two Weeks in Florida where
they will visit brother Lee and friend in
• Panama City. The other members of the
family, Jim and Janice McWhinney and
girls of Meaford, Ken and Lexie Murch of
Clinton enjoyed Christmas on Saturday at'
the farm of James and Claire Cook and
family. •
Gertrude Park enjoyed. Christmas day
with, Bill and Marie Park, Todd, Brad and
Tom. On Boxing, day all the members of
"the family were together at the home of
Ted and Vicki Henry and Jordon in
• Goderich..
Spending Christmas day with Jim and
Sandra Rivett and family were Mrs.•Lily
Rivett of Clinton, Beth McConnell, Lil
MacDonald, Duane Rivett and fiance Nan-
ey Carmichael, Scott and Lisa Rivett and
Ryan.
Intended for last week
Merry Christmas to each and everyone. A
very festive occassion was held at the
Dungannon Seniors Centre on Wednesday,
December 17 when 8Q members and area
seniors enjoyed a turkey dinner and trimm-
ings. Rev. Robert Roberts proclaimed
God's blessing on food prepared by the
seniors but served by the Willing Workers of
the United Church.
Belle Mole presented an address and gift
to Ted Bowers for his many hours given on
behalf of the Senior Citizens Club as presi-
dent. Her address included appreciation to
all helpers when the new roof was installed
as well as donor Pearl Congram and all in
office who had worked so diligently.
Programme •convenor Margaret Err-
ington opened the afternoons entertainment
with a poem - Living Christmas - followed by
Ralph Henderson's beautiful solo Edelweiss
accompanied by Ed Stiles. Jean Broughton
contributed a poem, "Christmas is Love".
Margaret Pritchard led the singing of the
old favorite Christmas Carols accompanied
by Roberta Linskill. Jean Phillips reading,
"You Can Tell a Farmer by His Hat" was
,very appropriate as many of the seniors are
retired farmers.
The Willing Workers enacted a skit by two
bachelors "Wanting a Housekeeper". The
highlight of the afternoon was-Ralp Hender-
son's rendering of "The Holy City."
