Showed calves at the Royal
Three members at the Ripley 4-H Beef
Club were down to the Coliseum in C.N.E.
grounds in Toronto to the 1986 Royal Winter
Fair which ended recently. (Nov. 22).
They were Andy Hollands of the North
Line, Paul Keelan and Billy Patterson of the
Tenth Concession of Huron township. Each
showed his 4-H Beef Calf in the Queen's'
Guineas Class of 147 in the Morning Friday,
Nov. 21. Then in the afternoon the calves
were sold by auction so they did not have to
see about bringing them back home. This, is
the way it is done each year.
Friday, morning, Nov. 21, 1986 will be a
time that .these '4-H members of the Ripley
Beef Club will long remember. The time
when -Margie Fenner, daughter of John and
Dorothy Fenner won the big prize - a
member of the Paisley 4-H Beef Club. The
first time ever for Bruee County. Everyone
there would fed happy about it and recall it
the years to. come. '

Several years ago Murray Gaunt won it
for Huron County. We still recall it. - the
years when R.D.H.S. got their orange
yellow and black trim sweaters on. So may
the young folks from truce again be liottced
in the Coliseum.

Correcting number of school
Chalking up an error to Ab Wylds in the
column last week. It was calling the School
on the 15th north as SS No. 10 when it should
have been SS No. 3. In going back over it last
Tuesday we realized our mistake but it was
too late then. The way we got No. 10 into the
picture was it was the Ripley School where
the Entrance Exams were written before
coming to the Ripley Continuation School.
