Locals visit London couple
Mrs. Clarence Schuler and Mr. and Mrs.
Tom McDonald visited in London with Mr.
and Mrs. Dick Guest. We are sorry that
Dick is not enjoying good,.health.

Secretary from London, called on friends
here on Wednesday.
Mrs. Douglas Palmer of Fonthill visited
with her mother Mrs. A Phillips and her
aunt, Mrs. Frank Maulden over the
weekend.
Holyrood WI Bazaar
The Holyrood Women's Institute held a
most successful bazzar at the new
Holyrood Community Centre ,(formerly
Kinloss Central School) on Saturday.
Mrs. Audrey McDonald was the winner
of the lucky -draw on a beautiful doily and
Kristen O'Neil won a pretty Angel Food
cake. as her prize. All the fine donated ar-
ticles caught everyone's eye, and also the
baking table. Mrs. Messenger had a nice
display of Bruce County Tartan things.
It was a nice afternoon of fun, food and
fellowship. Congratulations ladies!

Saturday in honor of Mr. and Mrs. William
Stanley of Lucknow. 13111 grew up here on
Concession 12 west and attended the
iinlough School. Viola is a sister of Mrs.
Alex (Myrtle) Percy.
Mr. and Mrs. Weir Eckenswiller attend-
ed the 80th birthday party for: their,
brother-in-law in London on Saturday.
Some from here enjoyed the loth Annual
Concert at the Knox Presbyterian Church
in Kincardine on Sunday evening put on by
the Community Singers. Those from here
in the choir were Mr. and Mrs. Harvey
Cooper, Barbara Gingrich ' and Kini
,Meyer.
At the Sunday morning service at the
Anglican Church, Rev. M. Letson baptized
Christopher Bradley Visser, son of Mr. and
Mrs. John Visser.
Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Harvey and Kristin
of Kitchener spent the weekend with Mr.

The Grade 7 class was pleased to learn
that two of the class members, Hobert
Hamilton and Erin Johnstone, placed first
and second in this year's Legion essay con-
test, Congratulations on a job well done.

place poem; Megan Johnstone - first place
poem; Adrian Helm - first place poster;

Report Cards
Most of the Grade 8 class were pleased to
take their report cards home last week.
They are now working on their volleyball
skills, trying to improve before the school
teams are chosen early in the new year.
School band
The band had a lot of fun participating In
the 'Winghann Santa Claus Parade. The
band would like to see you some place at
the Lucknow Santa Claus Parade
December 6 and also at the Carolfest on
December 17.
Library Lotto
The winners of this week's Library`Lotto
are Judy lane, Chrrssy .Conley, Martyn
Vanmeeteren and Robert Hamilton.
Book sale
Lucknow Central Public School is also
holding a book sale on Monday, December
1. Everyone is welcome to come and look

diligently on their long-awaited craft kits.

Ginerbread Village that will be displayed
on December 19, The Grade 8 family
studies group is also busy cross-stitching
Christmas ornaments.
Parents *ill be relieved of laundry
duties next week as family studies
students will be undertaking a laundry
take-home assignment,
Mr. Pike's reminders
Mr. Pike would like to tell everyone to
come out to the school's Christmas Con-
cert on December 10 at 7:30 p.m.
Also, the Grade 2, 3 and 4 are going to
Blyth on December.12 to see a play.
A reminder that December 19 is the last
school day before the Christmas break.
