After three periods of hard-fought hockey, which saw Lucknow dominate the ice most of the time, Teeswater skated a, way with the 2-q win. Teeswater 2 Lucknow 0 The opening period' saw Lucknow out- shoot their opponents by about 4-1 but were unable to beat the goalie. , ussel Sutton made a neat play on a Teeswater 3 -on -1 breakaway by neatly tipping the puck away. ' The second period again mainly belong ed to Lucknow with good pressure being exerted by all Hines. Mike Vandervelde broke up a breakaway with a diving block. In the middle of the period, Teesweater's huge defenseman got the puck at the blue line and as he prepared to shoot, all the Lucknow players made an open corridor from him to the net. M he fired, all were h itnotized by the ferocity of the shot, but Adam Skillen did well to block the shot. Unfortunately, an atacking winger tipped the rebound in. The,balance of the period saw Lucknow pressing. to even the score, but for almost all of the last seven m ihrntes, Lucknow played one or two players short- handed. The third period was more evenly played, but Teeswater scored their second goal when Skillet% again made a good in- • itial stop only to have a fluke bounce go in- to the net behind him.
