The winners were: high lady - Mrs,
Charles Shields; second high lady - Mrs.
Thelma Balser; high gent - draw between
Jim Coultes and Bill Purdon with Mr.
Coultes the winner; lone hands - draw bet-
ween Mrs. Jean Ross and Mrs. Don Mc-
Cormick with Mrs. Ross the winner. The
winnersof the door prize draw were Mrs.
Wesley Young and Dave Gibb.
People report
Mrs. George Lubbers took the family to
Wingharn on Saturday. While She shopped
at Zehrs, Brian, Karen and Dennis walked
to Bray Lodge to visit with their
Whitechurch friends, Mr. and Mrs. Victor
Emerson.
We are sorry to report that Lorne Durnin
is a patient at the Wingham And District
Hospital. The community wishes him a
speedy recovery.
In Whitechurch, many house "for sale"
signs have been put up in the day time, but
in the evening each one is taken down and
laid on its side.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Purdon spent the
weekend with their daughter Barbara, Dr.

Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Beecroft were Sun-
day visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Ronald
0 eecroft, Shannon, Heather and Kevin of
Wingham. Also, Mr. and Mrs. Kirk
Beecroft, Janice, Jennifer and Angela of
Exeter visited there.
The Sunday school practice for the up-
coming Sunday School concert is to be held
on December 21. Anyone wishing to donate
candy is to have it in by December 17.
A pot luck luncheon is to be held this Sun-
day after the church service in the
Whitechurch Community Memorial Hall.
A number of people gathered at the
Golden . Restaurant in Brussels to help
celebrate Julie Oberholtzer's llth birth-
day. The guests were, Mr. and Mrs. Mac
Cardiff, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Oberholtzer,
Jeffery, Julie, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle
Oberholtzer and Mrs. Norma Rintoul.
They returned to Mr. and Mrs. Mac Car-
diff's for cake.
Pinecrest plans Christmas party
December, Pinecrest will be having a
family and friends Christmas party
December 18. Everyone is welcome. The
Residents Rhythm Band will be perform-
ing along with everyone singing some old-
fashioned Christmas Carols.

Pinecrest is still looking for more youth
volunteers for the CandyStriper program.

The Lucknow Branch of the Bruce Coun-
ty Public Library wishes you a happy 'holi-

Come get a book on makingpresents or
special decorations, or an audio -cassette
tape of Christmas music. Bring the
children to a Saturday film show of
Christmas films at 1 p.m. every Saturday
from now until. Christmas.
Change of hours
Starting December 5, our Friday open
hours wil change to 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. year-
round. The pre-school Story Hour will run
from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. starting Fri-
day, December 5. Alla to 5 -year-olds are
welcome for this hour of read -aloud
stories, games, crafts and music.
Book presentation
The library is pleased to acknowledge
the presentation of the book "Whelan" to
the library for the Lucknow District Co-
operative i commemoration of "Co -
Operative's Week". It is Eugene Whelan's
newly -released autobiography.
The library has 16 mm Christmas films
available for club's or family's Christmas
