but Steve MacPherson decided it was time
to tie the score midway through the first
period. Allan Eadie put the Lancers ahead
moments later, but the Kings got one of
their own and the score was tied again.
The Lancers then got three straight goals
to end the first period with a 5-2 lead.

MacPherson did the damage for the locals.
The Lancers managed only one goal in
the second period off the stick of Steve
Simpson.
heading into the third period, the
Lancers led 6-4, but sloppy play led to two
Kings goals and the score was tied. Late in
the period, Lancers' Allan Eadie once
again grabbed a lose puck at the blue line,
snuck .around the defense and handcuffed
the goalie for his second goal of the night.
This was all the Lancers needed for the
victory as they shut down the Kings in the
last few minutes. Ray Guay played
another strong game between the pipes for
the locals.
