WMS meeting
The Presbyteriara WMS met on Wednes.
day afternoon at the home of Mrs. :art
Thompson and opened with a poem.
A hymn was sung. and the purpose was
repeated. The offering was taken and the
roll call was answered by naming an Indian
tribe.
Mrs. Bruce Bushell and Mrs. Ralph
Thompson organized the program and
divided the ladies into three. groups
interviewing different Indians and telling
their problems. Governments can change
laws without consulting the Indians but it
has somewhat improved. An article from
McLeans magazine was read about Indian
families and alcoholism and government
takeovers.
Devotions were by Mrs. Ralph Thomp-
son on Bible quotations. The theme was
"A precious present" from the Readers
Digest and the scripture quotations to g0
with it. Opportunities must be made use of
each day, fresh beginnings, trust God and
not worry. Another hymn was sung and the
Lord's prayer closed the meeting. Follow-
ing • Grace, lunch was served by the
hostess.
