A hymn was sung. and the purpose was repeated. The offering was taken and the roll call was answered by naming an Indian tribe. Mrs. Bruce Bushell and Mrs. Ralph Thompson organized the program and divided the ladies into three. groups interviewing different Indians and telling their problems. Governments can change laws without consulting the Indians but it has somewhat improved. An article from McLeans magazine was read about Indian families and alcoholism and government takeovers. Devotions were by Mrs. Ralph Thomp- son on Bible quotations. The theme was "A precious present" from the Readers Digest and the scripture quotations to g0 with it. Opportunities must be made use of each day, fresh beginnings, trust God and not worry. Another hymn was sung and the Lord's prayer closed the meeting. Follow- ing • Grace, lunch was served by the hostess. People report Mrs. Bert Nicholson returned home from the Wingham and District Hospital where she was a patient. We are sorry to report that Kenneth' MacDonald had the misfortune to have his hand severely cut while at work. We are pleased that he is recovering"' from the injury. Mrs, Marretta Hodgins has returned home to Niagara Falls after visiting with relatives and friends here for the past three weeks.
