Sunny day for Harrison Reunion
• The 51st Harrison Reunion was held at
Huron Centennial School in Brucefield on
Saturday, July 5.
It was a hot sunny day with 66 peciple in
attendance. The sports were run under the
direction of Peter and Marjorie Levick,
Dorothy Taylor and Roy and Marian
Taylor.
Results are as follows: Races: 6 •and
under girls, Lisa Bennett, Lori Collins; 6
and under boys, Joey Airdrie, Adam
Smyth; 7 - 9 girls, Erin , Jamieson, Kim-
berly Jamieson; 7- 9 boys, Ethan Wallace,
Mac Hackett; 10 - 12 boys, Aaron Taylor,
•Jeff Oesch; 13 and over, women, Peggy
Willert, Sherri Oesch; 13 and over men,
Timmy Airdrie, Javan Taylor.
Wheel barrow race, Javan and Aaron
Taylor, Trevor MacLean and Ethan- Wal-

The executives for 1987 are president,
Roy Oesch and the secretary -treasurer is
Barb Oesch. The directors are Bill and Lois
Hodgert, Brenda MacLean, Dorothy Aird-
rie and Elizabeth Foster. The sports
committee is Marilyn Beechey, Deb Jamie-
son and Della Bennett.
The 52nd reunion will be held at Huron
Centennial School in Brucefield on Satur-
day, July 4, 1987 starting at 2 p.m.
Self -cook barbeque featured
The 1986 annual Hackett reunion was
held at Ashfield Park on July 13 at 12:30
with approximately 51 present. Everyone
enjoyed the self -cook barbeque provided
by J.C. Drennan together with salads and
desserts.
The president, George Hackett wecomed
all • present and conducted some very
enjoyable table prizes being the following:
man with least hair, Keith Hackett; woman
with birthday closest to July 10 Bell
Hackett; man with birthday closes to
August 10 MidfOrd Wall; couple with
anniversary closest to March 31 Ken and
Ellecla Laidlaw; lucky spot Krista Wall;
woman with biggest feet Barb Hackett;
travelling parcel, Janet Drennan; person
with largest barbeque, J.C. Drennan.

It was decided the 1987 reunion will be
held on July 12th at 1230 at the Ashfield
Park.
D.A. Hackett and family then proceeded
with the following sport: preschool,
Bradley Courtney, Richard Hays; girls 6 -
9, Kara Wall, Sherri McCrackin; mixed 10 -
15, Madonna Bradley. Krista Wall. Nancy
Hackett, Melissa Cline; young men, Ian
• Hackett, Greg Hackett, Paul Hackett;
young ladies, Madonna Bradley, Ellen
Rodger, Evelyn Bradley; oven mitt shoe
scramble relay won by Gary Melitzer's
team; scarf tie relay won by Gary Melitz—
er*s team; wet balloon toss won by
Madonna Bradley and Krista Wall,
Relatives then enjoyed a pleasant visit
for the balance of the afternoon.
Lucknow resident dies at 80
Jean [Grant] McQuillin
Jean McQuillin, a resident of Lucknow,
died on July 8, 1986 at Wingham and
District Hospital, She was in her 80th year,
Born on December 27 in Elderslie Town-
ship in Bruce County, she was the
daughter of the late Henry Grant of Paisley
and the late Jane Evelyn Lyon also of
Paisley. She married the late Edward
McQuillin of Lucknow on June 22, 1935.
Mrs. McQuillin is survived by one son
Grant of Lucknow, She is predeceased by

three sistdrs, Mrs. Lena Oswald, Mrs.
Annie Green and ,Gertrude Grant and two
brots Wilfred Grant and Russell Grant.
-Tie funeral service was held at the
MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home
in. Lucknow on July 10 with Rev. Merelyn
Letson from the St. Peter's Anglican
Church officiating.
The pallbearers were Mel Morrison,
Pharis5Mathers, Barry McDonagh, Donald
Dawson, Eugene Conley and Bill Purdon.
Interment- in Greenhill Cemetery in
Lucknow.
