B becue smorgasbord hono s bridal couple
Mr. H. Lanting, Marjorie and Connie
had members of their family home with
them over the weekend for Father's Day.
Pastor and Mrs. M, Christensen were
dinner guests at noon on Wednesday with
Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Stanley at Lucknow.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Burt and Terry had
over 200 relatives and friends at a barbe-
cued pork and beef smorgasbord meal
Saturday evening. It was a special evening
arranged to honour their son, Paul and his
bride-to-be, Marcia. Folks from a distance
who were present were Mr. and Mrs. Bill
Shaw, Wendy and Tim from Stayner; Mr.
and Mrs. Rae Pinnell of Miller Lake; Mr.
and Mrs. Harold McKnight of Durham;
Mr. and Mrs. George Burt and boys, Mr.
and Mrs. Rae Franscisco and boys, Mr.
and Mrs. Bob Burt, Annie Norris, all of
Toronto; Mr. and Mrs. Godfrey Brunner
and Marcia of Hanover; John Brunner of
Elmwood; Paul Burt, Hanover; Mr. and
Mrs. Ron Mikulilik and Jennifer of Orange-
ville, and friends and neighbours
from Kincardine, Teeswater, Lucknow,
Ripley, Wingham and Kinough and area. It
was a happy time of fellowship, food and
fun. Paul and Marcia opened their gifts
and box of green backs enclosed in cards of
good wishes. Everyone enjoyed the happy
get-together.
On Saturday morning Rev. Robert
Shaw preached his farewell sermon at the
Presbyterian Church Service here, follow-
ed with a time of food and fellowship. We
wish the Shaw family every blessing in
their new charge. Some from here attended
the anniversary service at South Kinloss
Church on Sunday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Stanley of Lucknow
were dinner guests on Wednesday evening
with Mr. and Mrs. Seonard Stanley and,
Terry.
A lovely bridal shower was held at the
Pentecostal Church hall on Saturday after-
noon for Joyce Sheurwater, bride of the
month.
Some from here attended the silver
wedding part for Mr. and Mrs. Ivan
McFarlan at Kincardine. They were former
residents of our community. Best wishes
go from all of us to Ivan and Joan.
Mr. and Mrs. Norman Lloyd of North
Bay spent a few days with Mr. and Mrs.
Bert Nicholson and Lois and over the
weekend Mr. and Mrs. Mel King, George-
town and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Evans of
Ballinafad were home for Father's Day.
Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Bushell and Rachel
were guests at the Robb -Collar wedding at
Wingham on Saturday.

PLJBLIC MEETING CONCERNING A PROPOSED OFFICIAL
PLAN AMENDMENT AFFECTING THE TOWNSHLP OF ASHFIELD
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the County of
Huron will hold a public meeting on Monday, July 21, 1986, at 8:00
p.m. at the Ashfield Township Hall [located on County Road 20 next
to the Township Garage] to consider a proposed Official Plan
Amendment under Section 17 of the Planning Act.
The purpose of the amendment is to bring the plan into conformity
with the recently circulated zoning by-law.
1. The proposed amendment would provide policies to allow for the
establishment of certain buildings in non -sensitive natural environ-
ment areas as follows: a residence associated with a farming
operation; a residence associated with an agricultural -commercial
operation; -expansion of existing farm buildings; Institutional
buildings required for the protection/maintenance of the natural
environment; a residence on an existing separated parcel; a recrea-
tional residence on existing lots along the lakeshore.

2. The proposed amendment amends Schedule B, Land Use Plan map by the
addition of the following:
[a] The designation of existing woodlots and natural areas as "Natural
Environment".
[b] The designation of existing licensed pits as "Extractive Resources".
[c] The designation of existing areas which have been subdivided for cottage
development as "Seasonal Residential".
[d] The correction of the "Restricted agriculture" designation aroundr
Dungannon, Lucknow, and Lot 13, L.R.C.
[e] The removal of "Natural Environment" designations where no natural area
exists.
[f] The designation of "Agriculture" on Part Lot 10, Cone. 4 E.D.

or written representation either in support of or In opposition to the
proposed Official Plane Amendment.

Plan Amendment is available for Inspection at the Township Clerk's
office [395-2753] and at the Huron County Department of Planning
