McCall-Elphick
Catherine McCall of Goderich and Brian
Elphick of RR. 3 Lucknow were married at
Knox Presbyterian Church in Goderich
with Rev. G.L. Royal officiating. The bride
Mr. and Mrs. Brian Elphick
is the daughter of Bob (Robert) and
Shirley McCall of Goderich and the groom
is the son of Joyce and Ken Elphick of RR.
3 Lucknow. The Matron of Honor was
Dorothy Quibell of Rainy River, Ontario,
sister of the bride, while the Groomsman
was Kenny Rutledge of RR. 4 Kincardine,
friend of the groom. The bridesmaids
were, Kendra Matthews of RR 6 Goderich,
friend of the -bride; Deb Rutledge of RR. 4
Kincardine, friend of the bride and Sandy
Pentland of RR. 6 Goderich, friend of the
bride. The flowergirl was Chrystal Col-
quhoun of Listowel, cousin of the bride and
ringbearer was Jonathan Drennan of RR. 3
Lucknow nephew of the groom. The flower
arrangement was done by Charlene
Elphick of Goderich. Ushering the guests
were Robert McCall of Goderich, brother
of the bride; Roger Matthews of RR. 6
Goderich, brother-in-law of groom and
Steve Fair of RR 6 Goderich, friend of the
groom. After a reception at the Lucknow
Community Centre, the couple went on a
honeymoon to Thunder Bay ' and Rainy
River. Mr. and Mrs. Brian Elphick will

Elmira wedding
Weber -Alton
Valerie Weber, daughter of Norman and
Sue Weber of Elmira and Gordon Alton,
son of Frank and Loreen Alton of RR 7
Lucknow were united in marriage on May
3, 1986 during a candlelight service at the
Elmira Mennonite Church. Rev. Ray
Brubacher officiated. The maid of honor
was the bride's friend, Darla Bauman of
Elmira. The bridesmaids were sisters of
the bride, Cheryl Good of New Hamburg
and Andrea Weber of Elmira. John Wagler
of Listowel, friend of the groom, was best
man. The guests were ushered by brothers
of the groom, Kevin Alton of London and
Jamie Alton of RR 7, Lucknow. Jim
Laidlaw from Toronto was the soloist and
during the signing of the register the
quartet Glad Tidings sang. Following the
honeymoon to Venezuela the couple will
live at Apt. 24-54 Genevive Cresc. London.

Journalism graduate
Elizabeth Wilkins, daughter of Charles
and Mayne Wilkins of Amberley,
graduated on June 11 from Ryerson in
Toronto with a Bachelor of Applied Arts in
Journalism. Elizabeth is temporarily
working at the Huron Expositor in
Seaforth.
Relatives
help celebrate
anniversary
Relatives, neighbors and friends
gathered on the spacious grounds with its
shady trees at the "Old Clarke Church"
now owned by Keith and Isabel (McLeod)
Carter. They were celebrating the 25th an-
niversary of Mrs. and Mrs. Kenneth
Leddy.
Dancing and music was enjoyed in the
afternoon and early evening. Those who
supplied the music were Raymond Boyle,
Bert Moss, Bevin Tiffin and Wilfrid
Bradley. Last, but by no means least, was
Miss Chris Ehrat of Kitchener who led the
group with music and song.
A delicious pot -luck supper was served
at 5 p.m. along with the anniversary cake
made by Mrs. Bill (Jean) Leddy. Many
gifts were received in which Ken and
Cathy made suitable *replies, especially
Ken who reminisced over the 25 years. He
thanked the family and their neighbors for
their kindness.
Kenneth and Catherine were married in
St. Augustine Church, St. Augustine, May
27, 1961. They bought the family farm
where they are still living.
MILLER - Mr. and Mrs. Noah Miller of RR
2 Lucknow are pleased to announce the
birth of their son Melvin, 7 lbs. 14 oz., on
June 1, 1986 at Wingham and District
Hospital. He's a brother for Andrew.

rival of their son Kevin Keith Patrick, 7
lbs. 8 oz., on May 27 at Wingham and
District Hospital. Kevin's a brother for
Gordon and Jonathon.
ELLIOT - Richard and Barbara Elliot of
Teeswater are happy to annouce the birth
of their son William Richard Donald, 9 lbs,
6oz., on May 30, 1986 at Wingham and
District Hospital. He's a brother for Jen-
nifer. Proud grandparents are Marg and
Dick Elliott of Wingham and Don and
Margaret Cameron of Lucknow. Proud
great-grandparents are Norman Andress
of Wingham and Eldon and Dorothy Miller
of Lucknow.

6 oz., on June 2, 1986 at St. Joseph's
Hospital in London. Proud grandparents
