(Alan Rivett photo) Wednesday euchre results Eleven tables of euchre at Dungannon Senior Citizens on Wednesday evening. The winners were: Evelyn Errington high lady, Isabel Kilpatrick, low lady. There was a cut for high man between Ernest Durnin and Bert Russell with Bert winning the honors. Lucky door prizes were won by Deloris Culbert and Stanley Dennis. An engagement party for Linda Hart and Donald Carter was held in Lucknow Saturday evening. Linda is the daughter of Mrs. Thomas Culbert. Friends of Beth McConnell called at the home of Sandra Rivett on Sunday after- noon to honor Beth on the occasion of her birthday on June 9. Aileen and Elmer Trommer attended the wedding of her nephew Bob Cade of St. Marys to Cheryl Schenk of Sebringville at Zion Lutheran Church in Stratford on Saturday. Ed and Doris Steinacker of Tavistock were Wednesday overnight visitors with Jim and Margaret Errington. Ralph and Rosie Ciliska of Leamington were mid -week visitors with their daughter Janet and Dave Dawson. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Roberts, Plymouth, Indiana, are visiting at the manse with Mrs. Robert J. Roberts and family while Rev. Roberts is convalescing at Goderich Alexandra Marine and General Hospital following surgery. Dungannon United Church held a suc- cessful spring auction sale at the Agriculture hall on Saturday June 7. Donated articles were auctioned off by Gordon H. Brindley as well as 100 antique wooden press back chairs. Winners of the draw were Robert Lin - skill a chaise -lounging chair, Deloris . Culbert, two cabbage patch doll outfits and a $10 grocery shopping voucher by Ila Pollock of Goderich. Returning home from hospitals this past week were Marie Park and Mel Jones. Visiting over the weekend with Al and Robert Linskill was her daughter Sheila McCallum of Toronto and sister Lucy Phillips of Ingersoll. Gloria and Nels Pearson visited their son Scott and Jeanette and family in Guelph on Sunday accompanied by grand- mother Mrs. Pearl Congram. Mr. and Mrs. Joe West and sons Joshau and Nathan of Stratford were weekend visitors with her parents Tina and Derk Logtenberg. Also visiting was daughter Fran and Jim Farrell, Christina, Carmen and Jamie and son Simon, Jan and Jocelyn. Lloyd and Doris Hodges enjoyed a 10 -day holiday at Keith and Irene Blake's cottage north of Sudbury. Dungannon CGIT members and their leaders Penny Hodges and Tena Logtenberg camped at Donnybrook Park last weekend. A scavenger hunt, games, relays and swimming were enjoyed by all. To wind up the season's activities a Mother/Daughter social evening was held on Sunday evening. The former leaders were invited to attend. Dianne Park and members of her Senior Sunday school class camped at Don- nybrook this weekend. Sunday morning worship services at Dungannon United Church and Don- nybrook were in charge of student minister John Williams. In the absence of Rev. R.J. Roberts, Mrs. Margaret Reif of Kincardine conducted the Trinity -Nile services. Daughter works at newspaper. Elizabeth Wilkins, daughter of Charles and Mayme Wilkins, now has a temporary job at the newspaper in Seaforth. Charles and Mayme Wilkins were in Wallaceburg on Sunday where they attend- ed the morning service at the United Church there. In the afternoon Mayme at- tended a wedding shower for her daughter Janet Wilkins who on June 23 will become the bride of Allen Peck of Wallaceburg. Stella Irwin and her son Lloyd Irwin recently spent the afternoon with Charles and Mayme Wilkins. Rhetta MacLennan had her son Jack MacLennan of Stratford with her for a cou- ple of days. Jason Morton of Point Clark, son of Margaret Morton, and a grandson of Rhetf- - ta MacLennan underwent knee surgery in Sarnia recently. Jason injured his knee last winter playing hockey. Visitors with Elmer and Edna Culbert last week were Elmer's two sisters Thelma Ashton and Peggy McIntosh of Plymouth, Michigan and Edna's brother and sister-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Matheson of Loveland, Colorado. The CuIberts were also looking after their little grandson Richard Lazette while his mother was in hospital with a baby sister. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Robb were Sunday visitors at Lions Head with their daughter and son-in-law Edwin and Janice McClut- cheon and family. Sunday visitors with Barry, Betty and Charlene Jones were George Hunter, Dianne and Michelle from Belmont. Linda Wylds visited on the weekend with her parents Warren and June Wylds.
