Committee conducts WI meeting
The Lucknow Women's Institute held
their February meeting in the Town Hall on
Tuesday. The family and consumer affairs
committee were in charge, namely Noma
Campbell, Edna McDonald and Winnie
Fisher. They served a delicious dessert and
tea.
The opening Ode was sung with Mary
MacGillivray at the piano. The Mary
Stewart Collect was repeated by all.
Ruth Bogues, the president welcomed all
and read a poem on Spring. The rollcall
was answered by twenty-five ladies with a
good habit for health and happiness.
Noma Campbell chaired the meeting for
the program and after 0 Canada was sung,

shuffle. Rhoda MacKenzie gave two
readings, My Purpose and 'Three Wishes.
Wilma Clarke played two lovely piano
solos.
The Public Health Nurse, Sharon
Creighton spoke on Canada's Food Guide
and how to stay healthy. She gave' a lot of
interesting information and all enjoyed her
very much. Edna McDonald presented her
with a gift.
Noma thanked all for taking part and
presented Wilma with a small token. The
Queen was sung to close a most enjoyable
afternoon.
