But while you're at it, think of some of the traditions in your family! Have a Merry Christmas! Angie Nicholson. Traditions at the Park's Oh happy day! Oh happy day, la la la la la la laaa! Boy oh Boy do I have a lot 'of stuff to do before Christmas. Every year we always go buy a tree but not just any tree. The best tree, well from my perspective. My mom even lets me pick the tree. That's fun. On of my favorite traditions is decorating the tree. Now we always go a little over on the tree. We each take turns putting an ornament on the tree. we kind of go a little crazy. The hardest thing at Christmas is finding the lights. Has this ever happened to you? Every year we ' have to, pull out all those boxes and find the right one. But there's,a1- ways a little surprise like the hairy ' spider in the box of lights. Now that's original! The last tradition is the most common. It's the, "get parents up at one or two o'clock in the morning," which is my most favorite of all time. Well that's all the traditions that I can think of right now. Have a Merry Chri unas and a Happy New Year. Dylan Park, LCPS. Traditions at the Pidgeon's "Hi" My name is Tonya this is my lith Chrisunas.1 have a lot of traditions. I would like to tell you some. One is to wake up very early. Ona; I woke pp at 3 a.m. There was a doll for me so I picked it up and went ,back to bed. Another tradition is to go to someone's house for Christmas, I get lots of presents. We always have a nativity 'scene. We put it on 'the table so everyone can see it. I hope you have some fun traditions at your house. I love Christmas with all its traditions. What a happy time of vear! Tonya Pidgeon, LCPS. Mitchler's Christmas Traditions "Dashing through the snow in .a dressed up chevrolet". Speaking of dressing up, it's a thing we do every year to our tree. It's a tradition in our family. Wehave a real tree. I love decorating the tree brit it is a pain to untangle the lights. I think I like putting the tinsel on besrt. Another( tradition is putting Chrisunas lights up. We usually only put the lights on the house. I have a lot of fun helping. We have 'old light sand they burn out but we only replace the ones on the tree. Another tradition is on Christmas day, I get up at 6 a.m. but have.to wait for everyone else to get up bcforc I open the presents. I usually wait to 9 to open up presents. The cats love Christmas because they get to play in the wrapping paper. I hope you have traditions in your family too. Trevor Mitchlcr, LCPS, Phillips Chiristmas Traditions "Silent night holy night." We have great traditions in my house. Let me tell you about them. At our house you always hear singing bcforc Chrisunas. We sing songs like, Come All ye Faithful, Silent night and a lullaby, that's just for me. It is called, Sle,cp Now my Baby. We have an angel and we always put it on the top of the tree. It is so pretty. It has sequins and lace with silk. 1t is a lovely sight with the lights. . My Mom and I always get a real tree S.oma___arc fir and some. ie pint. This year it is pine.lt smells so nice! Decorating is my favorite. Tinsel is the best. But my glass people are nice too! Well got to go finish decorating. Miriah Phillips, LCPS. Hoggart Traditions Christmas is an exciting time of year. Everybody celebrates Christmas in different ways. Here are some of the Hoggart traditions in our home. We always two to rearrange our furniture so we can fit our Christmas'tree in the right spot. Every Christmas my brother, sister, morn, and die leave carrots for Rudolph and cookies and milk for Santa. My family started this tradition two years ago. We started to open our stockings first because then we can put our little things on our beds and not lose them. Christmas traditions are fun but like my family's the best! Derek Hoggart, LCPS, Stewart Traditions Hi, my name is Matthew. I'm going to share some of our family traditions at Christmas. Every year mom and 1 decorate the Christmas tree with angles, Santas, sleighs, elves, reindeer and the star on top. The Christmas tree always takes up room so we have to move every thing like chairs, shelves and tables. Sometimes we cut off some from the top, so this Christmas we're going to get a smaller tree. Do you decorate your house with a lot of lights? Well we don't put a lot of lights up. Instead of a lot of Hofer Christmas Traditions lights we have big electrical candles Tway the week bcforc Christmas that light up. They're three feet tall and all through the house there was and really arc nice. It makes it hustle and bustle preparing for easier for Santa, to get to our Mouse. Christmas, Speaking of Christmas That's what my family docs on preparations, my family has lots of Christmas. Matthew Stewart, LCPS. traditions. Everyyear we put Christmas lights on our cedar tree just outside our house. The only problem is that every dine we go to put them on we need another string of lights to fit the tree. Another thing that is fun (for me is that I get. to open my stocking before breakfast on Christmas mor- ning. It is fun because my parents and Grandma like to have breakfast first. I have to go to bed now or Jolly Old Saint Nick won't come down the chimney with care.. Michael Hofer, LCPS. Mowbray Traditions "Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way." Christmas is here, yeah! it is one of my favorite holidays. 1 would like to tell you about of my family traditions. ' Onc is a real Christmas tree. A real tree is a lot nicer than an ar- tificial tree I think, but some people like an artificial one better. Especially if they are allergic to real trees. Another tradition is the nativity scene that my mother always ,puts up in our living room. The nativity Nicholson .Traditions- scent has been a tradition since my •"Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells Jingle family came back from Africa. It is Bells all the.. if you're. wondering an African nativity scene and it is what I'm doing I'm getting in the Christmas spirit. It is December you. know. Hey, I was jus wondering. Do you have traditions in your family? Well I do. Do you want me to tell you some of them? Ok here goes! • Onc of the traditions in our family is putting up Christmas lights. It is something the whole family can enjoy. Our family puts Christmas lights every year. Another favorite event for almost every family is decorating your tree. Putting on titisel, /colored lights, it, just makes me want to sing. I sf ri\c‘idn. ier('ry Chripi tnt 1 m Grade lI t 2. tn. a , lroot(s e.. PS. made out of two special types of wood found in Africa. • Putting up lights on our.out-door trees is another tradition. For as long as I can remember, we have always- put our outside lights. I think that is nice to put Chrisunas lights because it reminds you about Christmas and 'they also look bice when they are up. "Dashing through the snow.."
