Drayton eame out skating fast and opened the scoring. The yellow and black machine wound up a gear and set up several exciting drives to the 'Drayton end. Mark Hackett tied the game on a good passing play from Tyler Hamilton and Bob Raymond. On their next shift, Hamilton set up Raymond who dropped a shot over the Drayton goalie's shoulder to take the lead. End-to-end action continued, with Lucknow goalie Farrish remaining steady between the pipes. Lucknow extended their lead in the second period, when Jesse Johnston set up Brad Gilchrist. Luke Drennan made it four for Lucknow,. when set up by Nigel Black. This was followed by Derek Quinlan's hard shot from Gilchrist. Quinlan scored his second goal early in the third, with assistance from Johnston and was followed by Raymond's marker on a breakaway. As they were down 7 - 2 at this point, Drayton showed incredible fortitude to come hack and score four goals in the next 12 minutes. Lucknow• had some excellent drives but couldn't get back on the scoreboard. They held tight and finished the game in fine form winning 7 - 6. Bantam's winning streak ends in Kincardine Kincardine ended the Bantam B's' winning streak on Dec. 14 when they defeated the hometown boys 7 - 2. Kincardine led 2 - 0 after one period and 5 - 1 after two. Lucknow's goals were off the sticks of George Carter and Trevor Humphrey, with assists going to Jordan Andrew and Jeff Cranston. Lucknow 3, Kincardine 7 On Sunday, Lucknow hosted the Kincardine National Trust team and came out on the losing end of 7 3 score. Kincardine took a three goal lead before Lucknow's Carter scored, assisted by Daryl Aitchison and Shane Petteplace. • Carter replied to Kincardine's next goal, with linematcs Petteplace and Aitchison notching assists. The opposition's next goal put them in the lead by 5: - 2. With one second left in the second period, Jordan Andrew scored unassisted. Kincardine • scored two unanswered goalsin the third period to take .the win. Atom A'schalk up win The Lucknow Atom A's skated away with a 4 - 1 victory against Kincardine on Dec. 16. In the first two periods, Lucknow dominated the play. Tim Eadie scored the first goal with assists going to Detain Pet- teplace and Rus Mann. Scott Aus- tin landed a pair of markers in the Second,' both set up by Jeremy Austin and Jeff McNee.'Russ Mann topped off the scoring after picking tip a• pass from McNee in the third. Kincardine managed to spoil the shutout with a goal in the last two minutes of play. Lancers have big six -point weekend On Friday night the Lancers travelled to Mildmay where they played the first of three weekend games, winning 3 to 1. Mildmay's lone goal came in the first period. Darrin Lindsay tied the game when he banged one in from Steve Michie. Russell Sutton got the go ahead goal from Dale Priestap and Andy Grazier. Just for good measure, Darrin Lindsay sniped his second marker of the game on a pass from Steve Murray, Saturday night in Paisley, the Lancers met up with Tiverton and claimed the winning end of a 7 - 2 score. After one period the game was tied at two all, with Lucknow's goals coming from the Priestap brothers - Dale and Brad, and as- sists chalked up to B. Priestap, Russell Sutton and Chris Irwin. The Lancers exploded in the second period with four goals from B. Priestap, S. Michie, S. Hackett and S. Murray. Assists went to C - Irwin, D. Priestap, Sutton, Michie and Hackett. Andy Grazier, with a some help from B. Priestap, claimed the seventh goal. Lucknow 7, Grand Valley 4 On Sunday afternoon, Grand Valley visited the Sepoy Town for a • game that saw the big red machine gain another two points. Point getters were Darrin Lindsay, Chris Michie, Irwin (2), B. Priestap (2), and Hackett. Assists. went to D. McKee (2), D. Porter, S. Michie (2), B. Priestap (3), Irwin (2), D. Scott, D.
