46. In Memoriam
NEEDHAM
In loving memory of our wonderful first
born son, who passed away five years
ago January 2, 1990, Scott Needham.
God gave us a precious Son.
To cradle him in our arrT s
We gave him love, we nurtured him
And protected him from harm
Just when his lite•was brightest
Just when his years were best
He was called away from this world
To a home of eternal rest.
But, how we'• wish that we could say
Scott is coming to see us today .
To see his face, to see his smile
Just to sit and, talk awhile
but we have lost and God has gained
The most precious the world contained.
We will always love and miss you.
Mom, Dad, Dale and Brent. --51
IRWIN
In loving memory of William John Irwin
Jr., who passed away December 24,
1991.
Fond are the ties that are broken,
Dear is the one that is gone,
In memory we shall keep him
As long as the years roll on.
As we loved him, so we miss him;
In our memory he is dear.. •
Loved, remembered, longed for always,"
Bringing many a silent tear.
"In silence we remember.'
Lovingly remembered' by his family. --

MCMILLAN
Phillip McMillan who passed away five
years ago December 1, 1989.
God called him home it was his will •
That in our hearts we love him still
His memory is as dear today
As in the, hour he passed away
We often sit and 'think of him
When we are all alone
Our memory is the only thing
That grief can call its own.
Lovingly remembered by wife and
family.) --51

Massena traditions
Every, year we get a fresh cut
tree. It's always small and smells
.beautiful.
(love Christmas because it gives
the family a chance to be together.
It's great with the presents we give •
each' other, the scent of the fresh
pine tree and the smell of the
turkey,
1 usually have a few Christmases.
I have one at my dad's, one at my
mom's, and a Christmas at my
aunt's. To me the best part of
Christmas is being with my family.
• Leanne Massena, LCPS.
' C hristmas at van Meeteren's
What my family, and I do for
Christmas is put up a tree while
some of us sit there and some
e''
decoratour tree. After that we get
our stockings and hang,ithem up.
On Christmas Eve we sometimes
get to,opcn one' present. My sister
gets the most presents but I don't
mind. When Christmas ' Day cta, mcs,
we all sit by the tree and one of the
kids ' goes } up picks up a present
reads the name, hands it to that •
person in our family, we wait till
that person has opened their gift,. '
then we all pick one up and one at
a time we open our presents.
Once we are all /done opening
presents we get to play with them.
My favorite part of Christmas is
our dinner because I think my morn
can make the best Chrisuhas dinner `
of.all.
After dinner we get to watch •
some Christmas movies: Then 'my
mom'doesl some Holland calling to
wish them'a Merry Christmas.
' 'Steven van Mcetercri,. LCPS.
Mann traditions
On Chrisunas Eve . we go ..tu
church, then to sleep.
On Christmas morning w:e have
waffles and then open presents..
After the opening the kids go out-
side and play for a while. Then we
come in and drink hot chocolate.
and those arc my Chrisunas
Traditions. .
Russ Mann, LCPS.
itrindley traditions
A tradition at my house is a
celebration, kind—of like a party.
Every year our employees gather
around for a party. After the party
they play cards and have drinks.
Together my fancily' decorates a
real Christmas tree:
I like Christmas because, a is a
time when you get presents, but the
important reasons to me is when !
get to visit my friends, and
relatives, Every year it is fun for
my family. •
Ryan Brindley, LCPS.
