God's Patience
I asked for health,
that I might do greater things;

I was given infirmity,
that I might do better things...
I asked for riches,
That I might be happy;
I was given poverty,
that I might be wise.,.
I asked for power,
that I might have the praise of men;
I was given weakness,
that 1 might feel the need of God...
I asked for all things,
that I might enjoy life;
I was given life,
that I might enjoy all things...
I got nothing that I asked for -
but I got everything 1 hoped for.
Almost despite myself,
my unspoken prayers were
answered.
I am among all men,
most richly blessed.
On Dec. 14 at the Wingham
Seniors Centre; we acted and sang
our program. After that we got to
eat cookies and shake hands with
the Seniors,
Chocolate bar sales are almost
done. All the money we have raised
will go toward our trip to Ottawa.
We have raised a lot of money.
There is a prize for the two students
who sell the most chocolate bars.
They will receive a one. pound
chocolate bar, free!
Report cards were handed out last
Friday. Many students were pleased
with the results.

Josh's traditions start in
November with lots of music
We begin our Christmas
preparations in November when we
get all the seasonal CD's, tapes and
videos out. My sister and I practice
carols on the piano.
By December we put little trees
• in our bedrooms, start our Advent
calendars and light the Advent
wreath at night.
We usually cut a pine tree and
decorate it in the livingroom but
this year we are renovating and
everything is a mess so our tree is
a bit late.
In December we write our lists to
Santa and we work to finish all the
gifts that we are making.
On Christmas Eve my family
goes to a candlelight service at
church 'and we get to open one.
present before bed. We don't forget
to put eggnog out for Santa and
carrots for Rudolph. Early the next
morning my sister and 1 quietly go'
down and get our bulging stockings
and take them back to my room to
open. We eat and compare treats
until it's time to wake up mom and
dad. After the family goes
downstairs we have a big breakfast
and open presents ,in front of the
fire. We thank each other and clean
up the big' mess. In the afternoon
mom cooks a feast and we always
have pumpkin pie.
Christmas time is our favorite
time of the year. •

David's traditions

Christmas Day I open my present.
Then my other half of my family
gets together and eats Christmas

Sande traditions
At my house on Christmas and
the few weeks before it we have
many traditions we like to follow...
Decorating the tree is probably
one of my most favorite things to
do. We usually decorate our
Christmas tree the weekend before
Christmas, which is always a fresh
cut spruce``lEvery year I like to look
at the tree ornaments and think
about how each one is special in
some way...
Finally the day comcs. After
going to Christmas Eve mass the
night before, Christmas morning
arrives. We run downstairs after
waking mom and dad, we hurry to
get the first look at the gifts Santa
brought for all the good girls and
boys.. but not before peeking in our
stockings, looking to find all kinds
of candy and useful toys. Then all
four of us (and mom and dad) take
turns opening gifts.
When all the fun seems to just
begin, we must sit down for our
traditional Christmas breakfast,
quiche.
Finally after what seems like
hours, we sit down once again to,
open gifts from mom, dad and
relatives...
