Alvin and Joyce Moran and Allan
and Beth Dickson have returned
from a five-day Country Christmas
Tour to Nashville, Tennessee: They
enjoyed' the Grand Ole Opry, toured
the Opryland theme park, went on
the Gimeral Jackson Riverboat
Cruise; and viewed the beautiful
Christmas lights and decorations.
Joe and Teresa Courtney attended
the annual Christmas concert per-
formed by the over 200 Blyth
Public School students at the Blyth
Festival Theatre on Dec 7. The
theatre was packed for this display
of talent and the students were not
.outdone by any famous, theatre
players.
St. Joseph's, Kingsbridge,
Catholic Women's League Annual
Chrisunas. Dinner with prizes, gifts
and raffles was held on Dec 5. The
"Great White Elephant Gill" ex-
change murder mystery plot un-
ravelled, the delicious meal,
Chrisunas caroling and 'social hoar
was enjoyed by C.W.L. members
and their husbands. Canned goods
were brought to the dinner to
donate to the less fortunate this
Chrisunas.
Samuel Pitre, infant son of Chris
and Lisa (Fraync) Pitrc was bap-
tized during the Saturday evening
Mass at St. Joseph's Kingsbridge,
followed by the annual turkey bingo
in the hall, sponsored by the
Knights of Columbus. .
. Bernice Glenn • and family
celebrated Christmas on Sunday,
with hemother, sisters and brother
and their families at her sister
Joanne and Murray Morrison and
boys home in Port Elgin.
Brian (Duke) Drennan suffered a
stroke on Saturday due to broom -
ball injury. He was. taken to Win-
gharn hospital and transferred to
hospital in London where he is
progressing favorably. •
The Fraync Christmas celebration
was, held in St. Joseph's
Kingsbridge church hall on Sunday.
with 30 family members attending.
Following the bounteous dinner
there was a short j rogram and carol
singing. Santa Claus (Bridget
Hogan) was a jolly ole gal and
entertained the children with stories
and gilts.
Natalie' Hogan was busy selling
small bags of gifts at three for 25
cents with the proceeds going to St.
Vincent de Paul. Dan Fraync, his
wife and family were unable to

Evelyn McNeil. of Nile, is a
patient. in Goderich Hospital;
breaking two bones in her left
ankle, as she was about to attend
the Nile Sunday School Concert on
Dec, 4, when she Missed a step.
Success has been attained by
Bernice Henry with the removal of
an eye cataract atSamia on Dec. 8.
The Henry family Christmas
gathering was at the home of Randy
and Shelley on Dcc. 11. Four of the
five sons of Ross and Bernice Hen-
ry and their families were present:
Bill, Doug, Randy and Larry. Don

Marina Park, Helen MacLennan
and Erna McNall, were honored at
a pot luck retirement supper, by
staff, and management at Pinecrest
Nursing home. Also remembered
recently were Mary Maize and
Ilelen Riegling.
Marina and John Park attended
her birthday celebration on Nov. 29,
at the horse of son Wayne and
Rosemary in Blyth, and the
weekend with daughter Glenda and
children Krystal and Joey in Lon-
don.
The third Advent Candle was lit
at the Dungannon United Church on
Sunday by Jessica Logtenberg and
her father Simon, with Rev. Alex
McGilvery choosing as his Sermon
"Preparation by Repentance."
On Dec. 18, following the church
service, lay minister Sharon Wurm
will be honored at her last union
pastoral charge message. An in-
vitation is extended to all to join
the local congregation at their light
luncheon, fellowship and friendship
gathering.
We are anticipating the Christmas
Eve Service Dec. 24. at 7 pan at
Dungannon Church. Please join us.
There. will be no Dec. 25 Service.
The true meaning of Christmas
was exercised when nearly 100
members and friends of Dungannon
Seniors Citizens, enjoyed their
annual Christmas dinner on Dec. 5.
The turkeys, compliments of
Dungannon Service Centre, were
cooked 16 perfection by the senior
members, along with traditional
trimmings. We especially, enjoyed
the service of the Willing Workers,
enabling us to be truly served.
Violinist Gabrielle Clarancc,
favored with a medley of Christmas
carols.
Our beloved Ed, presided at the
piano for the Yule Time Tunes.
We were pleased to hear of
Alex's two year learning experien-
ces in Labrador, commenting on
customs and attire needed for brisk
ocean snow and breezes.
Eight tables of euchre players
ventured out again to the Senior
Citizen Centre on Dee. 7. Winners
were Dorothy Riordan, Helen Rus-
sell, John Harris and Fred Craw-
ford.
It was announced that Dec. 14
would be the last card party of
1994. They resume Jan. 4.
The regular monthly meeting took
place in the morning, during coffee
break from the pie making session.
Year end financial reports, were
presented,' All. officers remain for
the 1995 term.
