Bantam B's win and tie
Tuesday night the Lucknow Ban-
tam B team travelled to Harrision.
larriston dominated the first period
outshooting Lucknow by a 19 - 4
margin. Thanks to the excellent
goaltending by Sean Lougheed the
game was tied at the end of the first
period.
Harriston kept Lucknow
scrambling in the second period as
they took a 3 - 1 lead. The second
period ended with a 3 - 2 score
with Trevor Humphrey getting a
goal.
In the third period the Lucknow
squad took over. Taylor Mali 'tied
the game when he scored his
second goal, assisted by Daryl
Aitchison and Shane Petteplace.
The whole team seemed to come on
strongly to shut down the stubborn
Harriston team. Aitchison and Pet-
teplace finished off the scoring to
defeat Harriston by a 5 - 3 score. It
was an excellent team effort!
The Lucknow Bantam B's hosted
Minto on Sunday night and played
to a four all tie,
Minto took a 3 - 0 lead in the
second period before"Jeff Cranston •
scored from J.J. Humphrey and
Trevor Humphrey. Minto racked up
another one to lead 4 - 1 after two
periods.
Lucknow started their comeback
at 13:43 in the third with George
Carter netting one from Daryl
Aitchison and Shane Petteplace.
Marlyn Van Meeteren put the team
to within one goal with help from
Ryan Hackett and Nathan Ferguson,.
With just 21 seconds on the clock,
Jordan Andrew tipped a point shot
in -from Mathew Eadie • to tie the
game. Aitchison also assisted.
On Saturday night the Bantam
B's travelled to Mount Forest in
some nasty weather. •
.Mount Forest opened the scoring
with' the first goal but Luckndw
. soon took control with four goals in
the first, four in the second, with
Mount Forest scoring two more in
the second. Lucknow again scored
three more goals in the third with
Mount Forest scoring four more.
Earning points for Lucknow were
Darryl Aitchison with three goals
and one assist, Jordan Andrew with
three goals and two assists, Shane
Petteplace with two goals and one
assist, George Carter with one goal
and five assists, Marlyn Van-
Meeteren with one goal and two
assists and Jason Pritchard with one
goal and two assists. Also getting
points were Matthew Eadie and
Taylor Mali with assists. Strong
goal tending was shared by. Scan
Lougheed and Clint Gunter.
Final score Lucknow 11, Mount
Forest 7.
Pee WeeA's
squeak by
Wallace
Justin Brown guarded the Luck -
now Pee Wee A territory when
Wallace visited last Tuesday.
Brown stonewalle& many of Wal -
lace's opportunities as Lucknow
squeaked in a close 6 to 5 win.
Chris Wainwright opened the
scoring, assisted by Jeff Andrew
and Mark Stanley, Shortly
thereafter, J. Andrew found his
mark'and put Lucknow up by two.
In the second period, Wallace
managed two quick goals, but a -
goal by Conor McDonagh put
Lucknow back in.the lead. Wallace
tied it up late in the second.
In the third period, the Stanley'
boys - Mark and Brian - each
scored goals, only to have Wallace
match the pair.
With 4:41 left, Wainwright sealed
the lead for good.

Panthers record two wins
On Thursday, the Lucknow Pcc
Wee Panthers played host to Kin-
cardine 11.
From the first shift of the game.
Lucknow took. control when
Jonathon Drennan scored assisted
by Adam Chilton and Andy Evans.
Lucknow went up by two when
Evans scored with his back hand
assisted by Jason Lewis. Lewis
scored from the face off assisted by
Drennan and John VanDicpenbcek
after a hand off frorn Clint went
"coast to coast" to score with only
six seconds remaining in the•game.
Final score Lucknow 4, Kincar-
dine 0. The shut out was earned
jointly by Andrew Pickard- and
Clint Gunter.
Lucknuw 12, Coderich 1
On Sunday, the Panthers travelled
to
Goderich for an exhibition game.
Godcrich proved to be no match,
with Lucknow winning 12 - 1.
Lucknow scored four goals in the
first, two more in the second and
six in the third before Goderich
scored their only goal of the game.
Earning points for Lucknow were
John VanDicpenbcek three goals
and one assist, Matthew Martin two
goals and one assist, Mark Meriam
two goals and three assists, Jason
Lewis two goals, Jonathon Drennan
one goal and three assists, Mike
Wyndham one goal and one assist
and Chad Foster with one goal.
Midgets win three straight
The Lucknow Midgets faced
strong opposition in Ripley last
week and squeaked in a 3 - 2 win.
Eric Andrew opened the scoring
followed by goals from Chad Mof-
fat and Tyler Brooks.
On Dec. 4, Howick visited Luck -
now and put up a good battle, but
the hometown team was victorious
with a 6 - 5 score. •
Ed Courtney recorded a hat trick,
and singles went to Eric Andrew,
David Adams and an unidentified
marksman in the newspaper report.
Helping out on the plays were
Stuart Rintoul, Adams, Courtney,
Colin Becker, Andrew and Doug
Johnston. Ryan Courtney main-
tained the Lucknow net helping his
team to a 6-5 win.
Visiting Belmore on Tuesday
night, penalty accumulation was
high. Lucknow handed the host
team a 5 - 3 defeat. Scoring came
from Jeff Porter two goals, Eric
Andrew one goal and one assist, Ed
Courtney one assist, Todd Thomas
one assist, Chad 'Moffat two assists
and Trevor Moffat one assist. Colin
Becker set an alarming pace with
two goals and two assists.
Tyler Brooks backstopped for
Lucknow holding off a barrage of
shots from Belmore.
Minor injuries
in accident
A 64 -year-old Ripley man
received minor injuries after his
car was struck from behind on
Highway 9 on Dec. 9.
Morley Kirstine was stopped
on Highway 9 to turn left onto
County Road 1 in Kinloss Town-
ship.
A vehicle driven by Jeffery
Matcheu, 17, of Kincardine
attempted to stop but collided
with the rear of Kirstine's
vehicle.
Kirstine received the only
injuries. An ambulance was not
needed.
