Council allows minor variance on bylaw
WEST WAWANOSH - The
newly elected councillors in this
municipality had their first ex-
perience with committee of ad-
justment sessions at the inaugural
meeting on Dec. 5.
The applicant Alex Chisholm,
planner Brian Treble and building
official Joseph Hanna were also in
attendance.
After discussion, council passed a
motion allowing a minor variance
to the zoning bylaw on • the
Chisholm property on Conc, 4/5.
The motion allows for the minimum
west side yard setback to be
reduced to 1.2 metres to allow for
an addition to the west side of the
existing "shop" building. Any new
buildings and structures not'part of
the application shall satisfy the
setback requirements of the ap-
plicable zone, and building design
shall ensure that water is retained
on the subject property.
Council is recommending to
Huron County that approval ire
given to an amendment to the it -
ficial plan to change the land use
designation on part of Lot 24, Conc
6 (Foran pit) from agriculture and
natural environment to. extractke
resources.
Effective immediately, building
permits will be required for
construction of liquid manure
storage tanks.
