Both were close games with Win- gham winning on Thursday with a 5 to 4 score, and Lucknow winning on Sunday with a 3' to 2 score. On Thursday, after Wingham scored the first goal, Jeff Havens replied for Lucknow, with help from Mark Meriani. The opposition tallied three more before Lucknow got back•into the game on goals by Matthew Marlin and Jason Lewis. Wingham hit the twine once more before Haven's second of the night threatened their lead. With the goalie pulled, Lucknow applied pressure but just ran out of time. Wallace bounced back; however, a wrist shot by Ryan Hackett on a pass from, Andrew ended the second period at 4 - 2 for Lucknow. Credits for assists were given to Jonathon Drennan (3) and Chris Hackett. win and lose The Pee Wee A team brought home a 7 - 5 victory from Mildmay last Tuesday. Justin Brown played a terrific game in net. Conor McDonagh opened the scoring for Lucknow and tallied two more, along with goals off the sticks of Chris Wainwright, Troy MacKenzie, Rob McGee, and Mark Stanley. Assisting on the goals were McDonagh, McGee, Nick Mann, Wainwright, Andrew and Stanley. On Nov. 30, the team went to Owen Sound to see the Platers play. On Dec. 3 they participated in the Blyth tournament losing 4 - 2. Nick Mann scored both goals assisted by Rob McGee and Jordan Hamilton. Atom A's register two wins and one loss The Atom A's had a busy week starling out on Nov. 28 against a strong Drayton team that controlled the play during the first period, to eventually defeat Lucknow 7 to 3. Lucknow's first goal came from Brian Stanley assisted by Dan McDonagh. Warmed up in the third 'period, Lucknow tallied two to Drayton's one, when Jeff McNee fired one away after a scramble in front of the net, followed by Russ Mann's marker. Assisting on the plays were Jeremy and Scott Austin, Tim Eadie and Devin Petteplace. Lucknow 5, Clifford 3 The next night in Clifford was a different story. There was plenty of action in the second period with both teams scoring a pair of goals each. Jeff McNee and Devin Pet- . teplace 'scored for Lucknow, *ith help from Scott Austin and Stuari3 Moffat. Defenceman Stuart Moffat rifled a shot from the blue line during the third period, on a pass from Ricky Andrew. Petteplace got his second of the night with an assist from centreman Russ Mann, who in turn found an opening for himself with help frim Darlene Aitchison and Tim Eadie. Lucknow 5, Belmore 3 The team's. road trip ended in Belmore on Saturday afternoon with Lucknow comi g home victorious. B. Stanley and R. Mann opened the scoring. Lucknow dominated the last 20 minutes of the game with three nice goals to Belmore's one. Chalking up the markers were S. Austin, Jeff McNee and J. Austin. Assists went to S. Moffat, R. Andrew, S. Austin. and J. McNee. Moffats register hat tricks The Bantam A's went down to defeat when they played in Mildmay on Nov. 21, by a 4 - 1 score. Lucknow's lone goal came off the stick of Craig Moffat. Later in the week, Lucknow travelled to Clifford and was vic- torious with a 7 - 2 score. The team was happy to welcome back Greg Courtney. Craig Moffat picked up a hat trick in this game with other goals going to Gavin Colwell, Chad Freeman, Ean Moffat and Martyn Van Mecteren. Tallying assists were Rob McGee, Jonathan MacKinnon, Brent Cameron, Van Mecteren, Ean Moffat, Dennis Lubbers, Greg Courtney and Colwell. On Nov. 2ti, Lucknow was looking lir revenge when they hosted Mildmay and recorded a - victory . After a scoreless first period, Ean Moffat scored his first of the night from Brent Cameron and Chad Freeman. Ten minutes later, Dennis Lubbers dented the twine with some help from C. Moffat. E. Moffat intercepted a pass a broke for the net scoring. unassisted. Two minutes later, E. Moffat showed Mildmay what Lucknow Was made of as he scored his hat trick unassisted. These members of the Donnybrook 4-H Club were presented with special awards during a visit to Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home on Saturday.
