Sunday School concert was a hit
The annual Chrisunas concert of
the Presbyterian Sunday School was
held. Sunday afternoon. The
Chrisunas pageant performed by the
children with help from
congregational singing of carols,
was thoroughly enjoyed.
The Bushill family sang While
Shepherds Watched during the
presentation. Jo Reid and Raechal
Bushell each played piano solos and
Susan Lindsay sang a beautiful
rendition of 0 Holy Night.
The hilarious song the Twelve
Months of Christmas was per-
formed by members of the
congregation.
Following the concert the
congregation was treated to a
traditional Christmas dinner and the
awards and gifts were presented.

On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Bill
Burt of.Kincardinc, and formerly of
here, held their family Christmas'
dinner. Among those present was
their new grandson Graham John, .
infant son of Mr, .and Mrs. Paul
Burt of Hanover, and a brother of
Nicholas, who has recently returned
home from the hospital after a two-
month stay after his birth. He is
over five pounds now and doing
well,
Jean Hodgins of Wingham visited
on Friday with Edna and May
Boyle.
Holyrood WI
The Holyrood Women's Institute
had their annual Christmas dinner at
the hall catered to by Mary Lou
Raynard.
Following dinner, plan§ were
made to visit shut-ins. Readings
Were given by Joan Murray, Betty
Bushell, Grace Eckensweiller, Nan-
cy Murray, Bessie Maulden, Wilma
Elliott, Imelda Murray, Betty
Johnston, Mary Scott and Volaine
Hodgins. A couple of contests were
enjoyed with prizes given to those
having a birthday or anniversary
closest to Christmas.
A donation was made to the Sal-
vation Army,
4-H club winds . up British Isles project
The Whitechurch 4-H club held
achievement day for the Christmas
in the British Isles project, on Nov.
26.
Tea tables were set up, and
English scones and different kinds
of sweets that are served in the
British Isles were enjoyed by the
crowd that attended.
The group also completed a
photography project. George Lub-
bers enjoys this for a hobby and
gave the club members some help
with it.
