during the strong wind storm Sunday evening. Employees were
greeted by this twisted mess of plastic and steel tubing when
they arrived for work. (Pat Livingston photo) ...
Reserve funds used
for sewer expenses.
A portion of the reserve funds set
aside for the sanitary sewer system
in the village of Lucknow will be
used. Reeve -Stuart Reavie says a
pump failure at the pumping station
behind the fire hall necessitated
purchase of a new one at $3100,
and up to $5000 will be used for a
shed at the treatment centre to"
house certain pieces of equipment: '
Council opted,to used reserve funds
rather than operating funds.
Council approved the Ministry of
Environment operating budget for
.1995 on the sewage system, in the
amount of $70,939.
The budget from the Bruce Area
Recycling Association in the
amount of $10.$3 per household
was also approved at the Nov. 15
meeting of council.
The new village signs are ready
for delivery. Weather per'mitting,
oneof the signs will be erected at
the northerly limits of the, village
within the next week or' so. The
