Christmas is a time when
families draw nearer to share the
glory of the season. For many
families, the Toss of a loved one,
leaves a void that cannot be
filled.
For the second year in Dun-
gannon, an Angel Tree lighting
service will be held.'It is a time
•for bereaved families to .join
together in love and support for
one and other.
"After our son, Gregory's
death, I.could see a need for this
in the Dungannon area,” says
Debbie Bauer, organizer of the
event. "Last year, over 50
children were remembered with
the tree lighting."
The event takes place on
Friday, Nov. 25 at 7 p.m. at the
park just west of the main street
in Dungannon.
Bauer says a spruce tree was
planted: "It is a living and
growing monument to the
children.in our area who have
died."
The Angel Tree service
includes singing of Christmas
carols, prayer and rollcall. Dif-
ferent colored strings of lights
are illuminated separately
representing different people.
Last year the weather was not
conducive to holding burning
candles, so this year Bauer said
she is asking people to bring
flashlights.
If anyone is interested in being
involved, 'please call Bauer at
529-7820, to have your loved
one's name included in the
rollcall.
