into.'

theft. The basement door was
forced and the following Tecknics
stereo items were stolen: Quartz
FM synthesizer tuner model ST -
576 -9W, CD player model SL -
„1. P1.17 -,10W, dual cassette player,
model RS -T16 -18W, set of 200
watt 3 -way speakers, wood grain
finish; model SB -2766. •
A quantity of cash and jewellery
were also stolen including: a tear
drop opal ring with diamond .on
each side, 1OK gold; sleeve ring, 4
point, 10K gold; pinky ring, IOK
gold with the letter "N" on it; thin
gold band, 3 opals; platinum ring
with a single diamond set in a
square top with flowers engraved
on it.
There is a suspect vehicle
described only as a small; brown
car with pruner paint on the drivers
•side.

Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce are
seeking the public's assistance in a
drug investigation in Saugcen
Township.
The Walkerton Detachment of the
Ontario Provincial Police report that
approximately one kg. of marijuana
was found lying on .an unused
Ianeway just off of river range road
in Saugecn •township.• It appears
that the marijuana was harvested
from a cornfield south of the
laneway.

salting and fracturing his hip. As of
Monday iaurnulg he was still in
Stratford Hospital but was hoping
to he tran,lcrrcd to Wingham soon.

her daughter Joan Nikkei and hus-
hand Ben. While there she attended
the wedding of her granddaughter,
Lori to Lorne Kruse, and also
visited with her granddaughter
Michelle and husband, Clark, and

COC is making plans
for Christmas events
Plans arc well underway for the
Lucknow and District Chamber.• of
Commerce, annual banquet' and
dance on Nov. 19.. Tickets are
available from Margie's Specialty
Shoppe, The Sentinel, or
McDonaghs. Cost is $15 per person
and this includes full buffet dinner,
presentation of the Chamber's com-
munity service award, a special
guest, dancing and a late lunch.
The Chamber, in co-operation
with the Village of Lucknow, will
host a business seminar on Feb. 13.

The annual Christmas tree
lighting and carol singing takes
place on Nov. 25. The Santa Claus
parade, in conjunction with the
local Kinsmen club, is scheduled
for Dec. 2. Santa and his significant
other will visit with the children at
the arena and give them treats fol-
lowing the parade. There will also
be free skating. Businesses will be
open Friday evenings until 9 p.m.
starting Dec. 2 up to Christmas.
Shopping hours will be extended
until 9 p.m. on Dec. 21, 22 and 23.
The Chamber meets the first
Wednesday of the month at 7:45
a.m. at the .Mayfair Restaurant.

Aim of session is to
strengthen partnerships
across Huron County
On Thursday, Nov. 10, St.
Joseph's Catholic Parent Teachers
Association will be hosting an
information session called
"Strengthening the Partnership
across Huron.
All the elementary and secondary
schools across Huron County
including the public and separate
school boards and ' the christian
schools. This evening is planned to
'give schools in the arca an•oppor-
tunity. to share ideas, gather •infor-
mation on how to sct up an or-
ganization in their school, fact
sheets on how to draft a
constitution, talk to various
fundraising company representative
•who will have an exhibit there,
sample their products and have a
chance to win some of the door
prizes they have . generously
donated. Norman Barlow will be'
the guest speaker.
Some of the parent groups are
even setting up, a 'display to show
off their school colors, school logo
and pictures of their achievements
such as playground equipment.
Everyone is welcome to attend at
St. Joseph's School, Clinton. The
program runs from 7 - 9 p.m.. but in
order to see all the wonderful ex-
hibits, the doors open at 6:30. If
parents need further information,

granddaughter, Kerrl O'Donnell was recently crowned the
Wyoming Fair ambassador for 1994-95. Crowning Kerr' is last
