Net $1400 at rummage sale
Dedicated volunteers were once
again instrumental in the success of
the Wingham and District Hospital
Auxiliary's rummage sale.
The armories was filled •to
capacity with clothing, shoes,
books, toys, china, draperies and a
few pieces of small furniture whcn
the talc opened on Oct. 20.
During the two days, many buyers
took. advantage of picking up- some
excellent bargains at inexpensive
prices!
The grand total raised was
•$I,430.45, These proceeds will he
used for auxiliary projects at the
hospital.
All leftover articles were boxed
and given to another charitable
organization. The I.ion ti Club
helped by taking the leftover ar-
ticles at the miscellaneous table as
well as the leftover hooks. Some
vases, paperbacks and children's
hooks will he recycled and used at
the hospital:
. The next fund-raising event for
the auxiliary will 'be ,the luncheon
and a .preview of Christmas
Fashions on Nov. 16 at the Win-
gham Golf and Curling Club, Tick-
