The Presbyterian .WMS met on
Wednesday afternoon at the home
of Joan Barr, with an attendance of
nine.
President Isabel Thompson
opened the meeting with the poem
Being Today.
Rollcall was to name a Sunday
School teacher and a'memory from
those days. •
Marilyn Reid led in the devotions
on the commandment "You shall
have no other God before me." We
must impress the living God; not
ourselves or others.
The offering was taken and
dedicated and the planning for the
Thankoffe'ring meeting took place.
Joan Barr led the study on the
topic Global Economics and, third
world countries. Is there anything
we can do to help the poor? A
discussion was .held with opinions
and ideas about the situation given.
A social time followed with a
silent auction.

Robin Hewitt, of Goderich and
his fiancee Barbara Wattam are
moving into the home they pur-
chased from Jessie Chester at

Congratulations to Ross and
Grace Gammie who celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary on Satur-
day evening in the Lucknow Pres-
byterian Church.
It was good to see Rev. Allison
and Priscilla Ramsay of Summer -
side, PEI, able to be present for the
anniversary party and renewing
acquaintances with many friends.

returned from a two-week vacation

weather was beautiful and the
colors in northern New Brunswick
and Quebec were' fantastic. A very
enjoyable trip.
Members of the Willits family all
gathered at the home of Bruce and
Barb on Sunday afternoon for a
joint birthday party for Bruce and
his mother, Jean.
,Best'wishes to Wayne Gollan and
Laurine Robinson who exchanged
'wedding vows at the Kingdom Hall
of Jehovah Witnesses, Wingham,
last Saturday. The reception. fol-
lowed at the Lucknow Community
Centre.
Five tables of shoot were in play
at the Drop in Centre last week.
Winners were Noma Campbell, Ella
Hand, Jim Errington and Tom Cul-
bert, Margaret Errington and Andy
Scott tied for the most shoots.
