New John Deere combine
John Deere has introduced a new
combine, the model 4425.
The 4425 has more productivity
and convenience features than any
other combine in its class. A replace-
ment for the popular 4420, it has such
Titan II features as a feeder -house
reverser and a Posi-TorgTM cylinder
drive as standard equipment. Dial-A-
MaticT" header height control and a
Harves-Trak monitor are available as
optional equipment.
The same spring-loaded locking
pins used on Titan II combines per-
mits Quik-Tatch header hook-up on
all 200 series platforms up to 18 feet
wide and on all four -row narrow and
wide corn heads and 50 series row -
crop heads. A two -speed feeder house
drive sprocket enables the feeder con-
veyor system to be readily adapted to
harvesting corn, soybeans, or small
grain.
Threshing and separating capacity
is increased on the 4425 with a large
24 -inch diameter and 41 -inch wide
threshing cylinder and 23.2 -inch long
concave.
The 4425 has the largest cleaning
area of any combine in its class, 5,271
square inches.
The 4425 is powered by a 117 hp.
359 cubic inch engine, the same John
Deere diesel engine which is used on
the company's 2950 tractor, to pro-
vide plenty of power under power -
intensive field and crop conditions.
The 4425 combines will be
available from John Deere dealers for
the 1986 harvest season. ❑
