YOUNG DAIRY FARMER TRAINING
Centralia College — January 21 - February 21
(Tues/Wed/Thurs/Fri)
Young dairy farmers who may not have had
post -secondary agriculture education have a
chance to learn skills involved in managing
a dairy herd. There are 12 days of classroom
study at the College and 8 days of on-farm
training conducted by a selected farmer.
Participants study most aspects of dairy herd
management including breeding, feeding, care of
the animals and milking equipment operation
and maintenance. The on-farm training provides
an opportunity to practice specific skills and
view alternative management procedures.
Enrollment is limited to 14.
YOUNG SWINE FARMER TRAINING
Centralia College — January 28 - February 28
(Tues/Wed/Thurs/Fri)
Young swine farmers who may not have had
post -secondary agricultural education have a

swine operation. There are 12 days of classroom
study at the College and 8 days of on-farm
