Sheila and Merle Gunby, Ashfield Township, received the Huron County
Federation of Agriculture award for their contribution to the farming com-
munity. Sheila has been chairman of the HCFA Public Relations Commit-
tee for the past two years, a member of the OFA Agra -Skills Committee,
owner of Gunhvfield Publishing Ltd, which publishes The Rural Voice
magazine and the annual reports for the federations of agriculture in
Huron, Perth, Bruce, and Grey Counties. Merle served as a director of the
Lucknow District Co-op, including one year as chairman. He has been ac-
tive for many years with the Federation of Agriculture, serving variously as
township and county director and president, OFA regional director, in-
surance committee member, and for two years, on the OFA executive com-
mittee.

Rally Notice
At 10:30 a.m., Saturday,
November 9, Ontario's farm
organizations are planning a rally at
the steps of City Hall in St. Thomas,
Federal Agriculture Minister John
Wise's home riding.
Organizations participating in the
rally are the Ontario Federation of
Agriculture, National Farmers'
Union, The Canadian Farm Survival
Association, Women For the Survival
of Agriculture, The Concerned Farm
Women, and the Catholic Rural Life
Conference.
John Langlois, chairman of the
liaison committee of farm organiza-
tions said, "Politicians have always
told us if farmers could agree on a
solution, we'd have a better chance of
getting government action.
One of the main demands farmers
will be making is the establishment of
debt review boards to assist farmers
in financial difficulty.
