Gerald Gouliquer, president of the Rainy River Cattlemen's Association said this is the twenty-sixth annual sale their organization has sponsored. There will be two sales this year, he said. On September 23 the satellite sale will be held; about 1500 yearling cattle will be offered. On October 21 there will be 2000 calves offered for sale. Buyers will have to travel to Stratton to participate in this sale; it will not be televised. The Stratton Sales yards are served by CNR rail and has loading facilities for double -deck trucks.
