The Lucknow Sentinel, 1993-09-15, Page 14Page 14 — Lucknow Sentinel, Wednesday, September 15, 1993 Monica Kasper Monica (O'Connor) Kasper died at the Brae Burn Nursing Home, Bloomfield Ili lls,- Michigan, on Aug. 31, 1993. She was the widow of the late Dr, J.A. Kasper, and leaves to mourn her passing three sons Jim, Art and Paul, all of California; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; two sisters. Elizabeth Murray, Royal Oak, Michigan, and Marcella Courtney, Goderich. Mrs. Kasper was predeceased by her parents Michael and Nellie O'Connor and sisters Agatha O'Connor (1926), Ursula Hebert, Genevieve Kinahan, Gertrude Led- dy, Elaine Leddy, and two brothers John and Norman O'Connor. Funeral mass was celebrated by Father Chris Welsh at the Desmond Funeral Home of Birmingham on Sept. 3, with '" interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Detroit. Attending the funeral from this area were Marcella Courtney and several nieces and nephews from London, Wingham, Lucknow, Del- hi, Auburn, Clinton, and Goderich. Clifford Elliott Kilpatrick 1913 - 1993 Clifford Elliott Kilpatrick, of Lucknow, the last surviving mem- ber of his immediate family, died at University Hospital, London, on Sunday, Aug. 29, 1993. He was 80. The son of of the late Milton Kilpatrick and Clara Twamley was born on July 17, 1913 in Ashfield Township and farmed at RR 2, Lucknow. He is survived by his wife, Isabel Pollock, and one son, Barry Kil- patrick of Lucknow. He was predeceased by two brothers, Harvey and Melvin, and one sister Verna. The funeral service was con- ducted at the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home on Sept. 1 with Rev. A. Cook officiating. Pallbearers were Warren Zinn, Russell Irvin, Russell Philips, Keith Cranston, Harold Cook and Dave Elphick. Flower bearers were Albert Taylor, Jim Hunter, Vic Hey, Brent Pollock, Wayne Pollock and Gor- don McGratten. Interment Dungannon Cemetery. OBITUARIES Howard E. Shisier 1901 - 1993 Howard E. Shisier, formerly of R.R. 5, Lucknow and 'Fort Erie, died at the Wingham and District Hospital, on Sept. 8, 1993, in his 93rd year. He was a retired car- penter and painter, and a member of the First Baptist Church, Fort Erie. The son of the late Elmer and Katherine (O'Lear) Shisier was born on Apr. 24, 1901 in Fort Erie. He is survived by his children Duane and wife Doris, of Auburn, California; Doris and husband Joe Kudlac, of Goulais River; Dee and wife Isabella, of San Jose, Califor- nia; and Donna and husband George, McBride, of R.R. 5, Luck: now., left to mourn his passing is a sister, Elsie Claus, of St. Petersburg, Florida, 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Mr. Shisier was. predeceased by his wife Vera (Barnhart). Pastor Benaway conducted the funeral at the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home on Sept. 11. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Fort Erie, Sept. 13.. Donald K. MacLennan 1931-1993 Donald Kenneth MacLennan, of Clinton, formerly of Lochalsh, died at the Clinton Public Hospital; on Sept. 4, 1993, in his 63rd year. He was a truck driver. The son of the late Emile and 1Zhetta (Jardine) MacLennan was born on May 19, 1931 in Kincar- dine. He is survived by five children: Wayne of Alberta, Kenneth of Vanastra, Don of Huron Park, Rick of Welland and Brenda of Vanastra. Mr. MacLennan also leaves to mourn his passing three brothers George of Ripley, Finlay of Kincar- dine and,,We of Stratford; three sistersudThs Miller of Palmerston, Marion McGee of R.R. 3, Goderich, and Margaret Morton of Point Clark; and seven grandchildren. Rhetta MacLennan 1906 - 1993 Arietta Eloise (Rhetta) MacLen- nan, of Pinecrest Manor Nursing fdme, Lucknow and formerly of Lochalsh, died at Pinecrest on Sept. 6, 1993. She was a member of the Ashfield Presbyterian Church, and Ripley Legion Auxiliary Branch # 440. Mrs. MacLennan was born Nov. 8, 1906, in Goderich, a daughter of the late George and Emma (Wi- ggins) Jardine. She is survived by three sons, George of Ripley, Finlay of Kincar- dine, and Jack of Stratford; three sisters Louise Miller, Palmerston, Marion McGee, R.R. 3, Goderich, and Margaret Morton, Point Clark; a sister-in-law Peggy Jardine, Goderich; 27 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. • Mrs. MacLennan was predeceased by her husband Emile, a step -son Rod MacLennan, a daughter Florence, and three sons Donald, Sandy and Eldon. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the MacKenzie and McCreath -Funeral Home, Ripley. The funeral was conducted at the Ashfield Presbyterian Church, on Sept. 8, at 1 p.m. with Rev. H. Nugent officiating. Organist was Karen Martyn. Pallbearers were Jason Morton, Kevin Miller, John MacLennan, Colin MacLennan, Frank MacLen- nan and Shawn MacLennan.. A graveside service was held, with Dave McDonald as piper, prior to interment at Kincardine Cemetery. Robbs attend nephew's wedding in Shelburne Lby Kae Webster ook,- Gordon and Nora Robb were in Shelburne on Saturday where they, attended the wedding of Nora's I nephew. It is really unbelievable that the summer holidays are over and the children are back once again- to school. Starting out for the first days, either in school, high school or university is a challenge for all. But all are sent the best to, what takes-them-on-to-their—goal-in- life. Charlie and Mayme Wilkins have been very busy .this last couple of weeks. Mayme and family had a very successful yard sale at Amber - ley one Saturday. Charlie and Mayme were in Port Elgin one Sunday to celebrate •birthdays with Charlie's brother and sister Harry Wilkins and Gladys Carla. A 'week agothe Wilkins family attended the ann.ual Wilkins - Friar reunion which was 'held at Harry Wilkins; in Chesley. There were 87 present. . And in between all this Janet Peck and her two children, Steven and Colleen of Wallaceburg, visited for a .few days. Mayme had a. birthday party in honor of Laura and Mabel Campbell of Wingham. Last weekend Liz, Dave and Rebecca Dadson of Ingersol were home and also Barbara Wilkins of Burford. Saturday the family (22) had dinner at Lloyd Irwin's. Visitors with Dorothy Finlayson, were Allan Finlayson of Toronto and Rod, Jeannie Finlayson and the twins Laura and Lisa of Sarnia. OCHALSH
