Township Annual Meetings:
Carl Spencer, past -president of the
Canadian Farm Survival Association
and vice-president of the Grey Fed-
eration was guest speaker at the
Egremont Federation of Agriculture
Annual Meeting on Nov. 4 Carl
discussed factors that have contri-
buted to the present depressed condi-
tion of Ontario agriculture and the
formation and activities of the Survi-
val Association. Carl. presented some
solutions to the situation that the
county federation could persue and
he urged members to get involved.
Allan Wilford, President of the
Canadian Farm Survival Association
was guest speaker at the Normanby
Township Annual Meeting in Ayton.
Over 140 interested farm people
crowded into the Ayton Community
Centre to hear Allan discuss the
actions of the Survival Association,
the deplorable economic conditions
farmers find themselves in across
North America and in Europe and
some of the things we as farmers can
do to put some of the profit back in
agriculture. Several good questions
and Allan's . quick wit made the
question period interesting and infor-
mative. To the question, "What has
Dennis Timbrell really done for
farmers?" Allen answered that Den-
nis is accomplishing what most
farmers thought was impossible - he's

Nov. 8; Sydenham and Proton town-
ships will meet Nov. 24.
Farm Financial Advisory Service:
The busy fall harvest season has
perhaps helped to put some of our
financial problems on the back
burner. As time progresses, high
grain prices and pork and beef prices
below the cost of production, point to
an ever tightening situation for many
Grey County farmers.
If the Farm Financial Advisory
Service offered by OFA might be of
assistance, phone the Grey County
Federation Office at 364-3050 or

bertson, 916-2623; Bud Hill, 924-
