Basically people are what The Rural Voice is all
about, for instance, some of the news stories in this
issue: Murray Gaunt wins federation award, new
Grey county federation executive elected, farm groups
present briefs to N.D.P. Task Force.
We want to offer you another facet of agriculture
- the people behind the news. In this issue we have
people involved in apple production, people committed
to agricultural issues like affordable credit for farmers,
people like Dr. Ernest Sanford, a Huron Park vet
and his contribution to the study of swine diseases.
The Rural Voice benefits from the participation of
professional people contributing to the magazine. This
month, veterinarian Ben Miltenburg gives some
practical advice on calf scours and a partner in the
Owen Sound office of Ward Mallette tells how to
find a good accountant.
Rounded out with local writers and columnists
with agricultural backgrounds, the circle of people
involvement widens.
The next step includes you. Letters to the editor
are appreciated; don't forget to use the free classified
section for personal items or the free listing for
upcoming events. We'd like to hear what you like or
don't like about the magazine. Let us know.
That would complete the circle.
