PG. 58 THE RURAL VOICE, AUGUST 1983
County Federation of Agriculture
Farm News and Annual Report 1983.
The PR Committee met again on
June 13 with names of businesses in-
volved in farming in each district.
Hopefully each committee chairman
is working on the report of the year's
activities.
Ontario Hydro set up information
centres throughout the area, so in-
terested citizens could see the maps
and talk to hydro officials about the
routes being studied for the hydro
corridor; 900 people attended. A field
office has been opened in Markdale,
it being a central location. The next
hydro meeting is August 2 at Alliston.
A number of observers are attending
the meetings as well as the working
Group delegates. In October hydro
and the working Group should
be ready to select the preferred route.

With sincere
sympathy
We were saddened by the death of
Ron White, first vice-president of the
Ontario Federation of Agriculture
Bill Pullen, his niece Barb and I at-
tended the funeral in Birr. I'm sure all
the ISM's in Grey County sympathize
with Ron's wife, his son and three
daughters. Ron White worked hard
to make farming a better life.
