In other counties there were mini -
competitions held to determine who
would represent the county at the provin-
cial level. In Huron and Perth, interested
members got busy and started with
whoever was interested in taking part.
The Drama Fest which has been an
ongoing annual event for the past
twenty-five years is one of two cultural

The plays were judged by two able
theatre celebrities. Ted Johns, Blyth's
own resident actor, playwright, director
and man about town, assisted by visiting
Montreal playwright Simon Malbogat.
Williams heaved a sigh of relief as the
day was nearing a close. While he and
fellow organizers have enjoyed the Drama
Fest they were glad to see the day end.
Huron was one of many counties who
lobbied for the Drama Fest to be held in
their county.
Clinton and area have formed a fifth
club for Huror. county Junior Farmers.
Sharon Telfer was surprised that of the 50
members who signed up 75 per cent are
new members.
Organizers stressed that the club is
open to town residents as well as rural
between the ages of 15 to 29.
The Huron Junior Farmers are inter-
ested in promoting sports, summer
camps and workshops and would wel-
come any new members to their meet-
ings held the third Wednesday of each
month in the OMAF board room in
Clinton.
In addition, the five separate clubs in
Huron each hold their own monthly
meeting. 17
