The last resolution called for the formation of a committee to look into swine health problems and to report back through the OPPMB on the herd health and how it can be improved. The committee would include members from OPPMB, Meat Packers Council, Quality Swine, Ont. Swine Council, Agriculture Canada, and other organizations in- volved with the pork industry. On January 22, 1983 a suc- cessful dance was held at the Mildmay Carrick Recreation Complex with Mid- night Express playing the music. A donation of $1254.21 was raised for Participation Lodge in Holland Centre in connection with the Telethon for the Stars held that weekend.
