COMMITTEES ARE CHOSEN
Grey was minus one delegate at the convention when a sub-
stitute couldn't be found at the last minute. The Jack Hale ap-
preciation night was excellent. Dennis Timbrell and Eugene
Whelan didn't promise any miracle cures for the agricultural in-
dustry but OFAAP is extended for 1 year.
Four executive members were elected at Grey's November

Brusso.

ber to qualify for the OFA rebate.
The Property and Taxation Committee are meeting Dec. 6 along
with Bruce and Simcoe counties' committees to discuss the
Property Taxation Program which doesn't appeal to many farmers
in Grey County. MPP Bob McKessock will be at the meeting.
Dec. 13 is the seminar at Elmwood for Bruce and Grey directors.
Doug Gowanlock has arranged for the speakers and Mary Harvie
has arranged for the lunch. Hope the weather co-operates too.
A past presidents pin which was lost by Taylor Jewellers
several years ago will be replaced by Grey Fed. of Agriculture.
The township federations are having their annual meetings,
sometimes 2 or 3 on the same night. This helps get the executive
of Grey involved, representing the president.
Those townships which haven't had their annuals yet are
Osprey. Artemesia, St. Vincent. Holland and Derby.
Grey has applied for the Insurance advisory course. If we are
accepted, it will be held through the winter months.
Farm and Home Management Day, part of Bruce, Grey Farmers
week, Jan. 5, 1983 looks like a very interesting day. A preview of
"Ready for Slaughter", the film made in Bruce County will be
shown. Maryke McEwen the producer, will answer questions and
make comments on the film. Results of the Concerned Farm
Women survey will be given. Anne St. Marie will speak on "Farm
Vacations" and Dorothy Middleton, "Women for the Survival of
Agriculture" will be speaking. Thoughts on the current Farm
Situation will be given by the MacKenzie sisters. Topping off the
day. Peter Hannam's topic is "Managing in the 80's."
Grey will hold their meetings at 1 PM for the January 26,
February 23 and March 23 meetings at the OMAF Board Rooms.
