A Pioneer Industry
Preserved By Those Who Love Woodworking
In 1850 a primitive pit saw was established on the present day site and the
,,t office became known as Welbeck. Several mills were constructed and
Horned over the year. After a fire in 1966 a new mill was constructed m
1967 as a centennial project. This mill manufactures local wood product,
for wholesale and retail.
Situated beside the mill is one of Canada's most unique stores. It is a
pleasant and interesting place to shop for the hard to find tools, hardware
ems, and ram woods.
