and cold water, 3 tablespoons each of lime
juice and lime syrup, and 3 ice cubes at
high speed until the mixture is smooth.
Pour the mixture into a chilled tall glass.
Makes 1 drink.
CANTALOUPE FRAPPE
In a blender or a food processor fitted
with a steel blade blend 1 cantaloupe,
peeled, seeded and cubed, 2 scoops of
vanilla ice cream, and a pinch of salt at
high speed until the mixture is smooth and
divide it between 2 chilled tall glasses.
Garnish each drink with a sprig of mint.
Makes 2 drinks.
MARITIME FLOAT
Whip '/2 c. whipping cream with electric
mixer until peaks will hold. Set aside.
Blend 1 egg. 3/4 c. blueberries (canned
or fresh), 2 T. sugar and 2 c. milk. Run on
high speed until smooth. Pour blended
mixture over whipped cream and gently
fold together. Scoop into 6 glasses and top
each with ice cream and a few bright
blueberries. Makes 6 &asses.
PINK PINEAPPLE PUNCH
3 cups cranberry juice cocktail, chilled
1 cup pineapple juice, chilled
2 Tablespoons lemon juice
1 Tablespoon instant tea powder
2 7 oz. bottles gingerale, chilled
Combine juices and tea. Carefully stir in
gingerale. Pour over ice (Makes 6 cups).
FRUIT BLENDER SHAKE
1 c. cranberry cocktail
6 to 8 drops red food colouring
1 c. vanilla ice cream
1 orange, peeled and sliced or 2 halved
peaches
Combine all but ice cream. Blend at
high speed until smooth. Add ice cream.
Blend slightly. Serve immediately (Makes
2 cups).
