They STRAWBERRIES 1 can Eagle Brand milk 3/4 lb. fine cocoanut 11/2 pkg. strawberry jello powder 2 tablespoons icing sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 teaspoon red food coloring Mix all together and put in frig to chill. Mold into shape of strawberry and roll in remaining one-half jello powder. Make a little green icing for the stem. Mrs. Gordon Papple STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE 1 egg 2 tablespoon sugar 2 cups bread flour 4 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 3/4 cup milk 5 tsps. lard or (3 tsps. lard and 1 tsp. cream) Cook in tart tins and cut and put strawberries (mashed) between and on top and cover with cream or whipped cream. Mrs. William Strong FROZEN STRAWBERRY PIE Filling: 4 quarts of berries 4 cups of sugar 3/4 cup minute tapioca '/4 cup lemon juice 1 teaspoon salt Wash and hull berries. Line four 8 -inch pie pans with heavy duty foil; let extend 5 inches beyond the rim. Divide filling evenly in pans. Fold foil over loosely; put in freezer till frozen. Take out and remove pans; return to freezer. Mrs. Aaron Jantzi eaforth WI's 1966 International still taste good. STRAWBERRY JELL-O PIE Make a graham wafer crust. Press in 8 -inch pie plate. FILLING—Dissolve 1 package (3 oz.) strawberry Jell-O in 11/4 cups boiling water. Stir in 1 pint of vanilla ice cream until melted. Chill until thick. Fold in 1 cup of drained, sweetened, sliced, fresh strawberries, or 1 package (10 oz.) drained frozen strawberries. Chill until firm. Garnish with more berries. Marjorie Papple STRAWBERRY MALLOW PIE Dissolve 3 -oz. package of strawberry Jello in 1 cup of boiling water. Add 10 -oz. package of frozen strawberries, stirring until fruit separates and mixture thickens. Fold in 2 cups of miniature marshmallows and 1 cup of heavy cream, whipped. Pour in 9 -inch graham cracker crumb crust. Chill until firm. Frozen raspberries may also be used. Mrs. Mack MacLean STRAWBERRY DELIGHT 11/2 cups wafer crumbs 11/2 cups confectioner's sugar 1 cup whipping cream '/x cup butter 2 eggs 1/2 teaspoon vanilla Press one cup crumbs into a pan 12 x 8 x 2. Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time and cream after each addition. Spread this over crumbs in pan. Whip cream until stiff. Fold in straw- berries and vanilla. Spread over other layer. Top with chopped nuts and the remainder of crumbs. Chill in refrigerator. Cut in squares. Mrs. John E. MacLean 1
