OFA TASK FORCE
Bob Coleman, Chairman of the Young Farmers Committee gave a rundown of the
highlights of the brief which he had presented on behalf of his committee to the Task
Force In London on October 7/81. He was interviewed by the Toronto Star, CFPL
Radio, the Hamilton Spectator and the Farm & Country reporter as a result of his
presentation. Jim McIntosh and Andre Durand attended the meeting with Bob.
Tony McOuall reported on the brief presented by Huron County at the Task Force in
Hanover on October 21, 1981. This was attended by Tony McQuaiI, John VanBeers,
and BIll Fear as well as a few other Individuals from Huron County who had their
own presentations.
MEMBERSHIP CANVASSES:
- motion by Tony McOuall that Bill Crawford pick out 3 Townships with the most
promise for new members and do a 1 day canvass In each Twp. seconded by Alfred
Etzler. Carried. Bill Crawford and Brenda McIntosh to arrange this.
PR COMMITTEE.. CONVENTION REPRESENTATIVE:
- the PR Committee wishes to send a rep. to Convention to arrange the pictures and
do the media work, motion by Bob Coleman, seconded by Andre Durand that we do
this. Carried. Motion by Doug Fortune seconded by Andy Durand that Fran McQuail
(Chairman) attend. Carried. If Fran Is unable to go she Is to find a replacement.

DRAINAGE & SOIL COMMITTEE:
- Norm Alexander spoke briefly on Acid Rain, Herbicides and Soil Erosion. He
suggested we might possibly Invite the Department of Transportation to explain
some of their reports... their Ilaslon with us appears to be very vague. It was
suggested HCFA appoint a good Chairman for next years committee and moved by
Tony McOuall that we ask the new committee to work with Program Committee to
plan a meeting to Inform our members of the details on what conservation
