farmers have
a ball in
Huron, Bruce
and Perth

A group of 33 young farmers from
Wales returned home Oct. 9 after a 13 -day
return visit with Junior Farmers in Huron,
Perth and Bruce counties. Young farmers
in the three counties were in Wales in the
spring.
The Welsh junior farmers weren't
bored on the return visit. Roger Morrison,
of R.R. 4, Seaforth and a director of Huron
County Junior Farmers, organized a busy
itinerary for the visitors. It included,
among other things, trips and tours to Fort
George at Niagara -on -the -Lake, the Bruce
Nuclear Plant at Douglas Point, the
International Plowing Match and
Plowman's Ball near Barrie, the
Collingwood slide ride, Dominion Roads
and a poultry and dairy farm at Goderich,
a big turkey farm at Strathroy, the egg
grading station at the University of
Guelph, the Kitchener stock yard, and CN
tower and Eaton's Centre in Toronto.
The Welsh junior farmers arrived in
Seaforth Sept. 27. They were billetted
with their hosts in the three counties.
In Huron these hosts were: Randy
Wilson, Pam Carnochan, Dick Robinson,
Roger Morrison, Wayne Shapton, Sandra
Ruston, Sue Irvin, Sharon Colclough,
Bryan Williams, Ralph Morrison, Bevan
Shapton, Bill Armstrong. Glen Naylor,
Donna Prout, Jeff Allan, John Van Vliet,
Rob McGregor
Lynda, Joe, Don and Brad Denim, and
Matt Crowley were Perth counties' hosts.
Ron Nichol and Dave Johnston were the
hosts in Bruce County.
Pam Carnochan. left. talks with Rhiannon Hughes, who just arrived from Wales
along with about thirty friends for a two weeks stay. The visitors, all members ofa
young farmers organization in their homeland, have been billetted with members of
the Seaforth Junior Farmers club for a friendly international vacation.
