Agricutlure was held at the Seaforth Public School on Thursday,
July 3, 1980 at 8:30 p.m.
Brenda McIntosh moved the minutes of the June meeting be
approved as in the Rural Voice, seconded by Andy Durand.
Carried.
John VanBeers moved the minutes of the May meeting be
approved as circulated in the Rural Voice, seconded by Paul
Klopp. Carried. There was a short discussion on whether to
continue publishing the minutes of the monthly meetings in the
Rural Voice or to start reading them again at the meetings. It was
was decided to leave this decision to the executive meeting next
week.
The speaker for the evening, Don Little, CanFarm re-
presentative for the area, was introduced by John Van Beers.
Mr. Little spoke on different aspects of CanFarm and had a
display set up for observation. Paul Klopp thanked Don for his
informaton.
President Merle Gunby introduced Ontario Federation of
Agriculture's new lawyer from the Toronto office, Mr. Johannes
Jarvalt (JJ) replacing Jim Murray who has left the organization.
Fieldman Bill Crawford gave us a figure of the latest update of
members in Huron County as 2,114.
Adjournment was moved by John VanBeers. Carried.
Lunch and coffee were then served by Tuckersmith Township,
hosts for this meeting.
