High interest rates topic at HFA

The March monthly meeting was held Thursday, March 6, at
the South Huron Secondary School in Exeter with approximately
100 in attendance.
The minutes of the last monthly meeting were read by the
secretary, approved on a motion by Bev Brown; seconded by Jim
McIntosh, carried.
The meeting was chaired by Gerry Fortune. 1st Vice President
of the Federation of Agriculture who called upon Allan Turnbull
to introduce the guest panelists for the evening. The panelists
were Bill McEachern, Accountant, Alec McLeod, Bank of
Commerce and John Murphy, Royal Bank, Centralia. The topic
of the discussion was "HIGH INTEREST RATES". Each

question period followed. Following the discussion chairlady
Gerry Fortune thanked the men for their participation in the
lively discussion.
Fieldman Bill Crawford gave a short report on the
membership in Huron County and thanked the various ISM's for
their help in the recent canvassing in the county.
A light lunch was then served by Stephen Township
Federation of Agriculture who hosted this meeting.
Next monthly membership meeting to be held April 3, 1980 at
the Grey Township Public School at Ethel with Ralph Barrie,
OFA President the guest speaker.
