It's a money management course offered to senior members, ages 16 years and over. Steve Thompson of R.R. 3, Clinton is the leader of the group and the originator of the idea in Huron. He has a masters degree in business and taught business and farm management at the University of Guelph and said he is trying to apply his training to the 4-H club level. Mr. Thompson said that one month they may be talking on budgeting, another month about sources of money or farm credit for the purchase of a farm or another time, it will be on taxation. One former 4-H member who took the club, Oscar Meier, 19, of R.R. 4. Brussels is now studying agriculture and business management at Centralia College. When Oscar was taking the course in 1979, they studied financial management. bank loans, had speakers in on farm credit and bank loans and studied how to manage money.
