Centralia College and OMAF offices in
Huron, Perth and Bruce Counties are
offering more one day courses for farmers,
Centralia, in January will offer Sow Herd
Management on Tuesday, January 8 and
Feeder Pig Management on Thursday
January 10.
Using High Cost Money is a one day
course being held Wednesday, January 16,
and is for new or established farmers
attempting to cope with the high cost of
borrowed money. Farm Income Tax
Update on Tuesday, January 22 is a course
designed for farmers, farm record keepers
and farm accountants.
Details of a beef feedlot management
course being held on Wednesday January
23 were listed in the December issue
of the Rural Voice. This course is also to be
held at the Chesley Community Centre on
the same day.
A Crop Think Tank on Thursday,
January 24 will be of interest to cash crop
and "innovator" farmers and will include
around the table discussion on crop
production problems, the need for crop
information, the role of extension,
researchers, industry and other topics. A
course on farm welding on Wednesday,
January 30 will cover common welding
equipment found in the farm shop.
Welding rods and their use will be
discussed and demonstrated. '

need to be considered. A lawyer will
discuss wills. Discussion opportunities will
be available.
