The original owner of this barn on Highway
87 near Wroxeter has long been gone from
the farm scene, but one can guess the
economic struggles to keep his farm
operation going.

Karl Whitfield of R.R.3, Blyth says he called this farm
Cost -A -Plenty because it cost a lot to get his farm set up.
Actually he was going to call the farm in this picture
Cost -A -Much and his home farm, Cost -A -More but he
couldn't afford to have both slogans painted on at the
same time.

Male chauvinism certainly does not exist on this well known
East Wawanosh farm which won the 1978 Farmstead &
Home Improvement Award. Karen will graduate as a Vet in
1980; Kathy is in her 3rd year of nursing and Karol is in Grade
13 at F.E. Madill, Wingham. (Photo by Bev Brown)
